Captain Marvel is a major piece of casting work because Marvelc doesn't want their first female superhero film not to work. The question is--unknown actress, or someone who's a relatively known commodity? Or maybe even a star?

Captain Marvel is a major piece of casting work because Marvelc doesn't want their first female superhero film not to work. The question is--unknown actress, or someone who's a relatively known commodity? Or maybe even a star?

They probably won't cast it for years (even if they want to shoehorn a cameo into GotG2), so there's no way of knowing. Might be someone who is a total unknown up to now.

Good point--it might literally be 2016 before we know who Marvel is casting. I assume there's no chance she shows up in Avengers 2 since they're supposed to be done filming, so my money is on Avengers 3 (or "Infinity War part 1") as her official introduction.
