Isn't the whole point of these contests and events to get new customers? If people want to make fools out of themselves for coupons or toys on the internet, then let them!

Sideshow events have always been about celebrating whatever they're about such as Halloween or Comic Con. Sideshow's presence on social media is about trying to get new customers, but was separate from their event presence until recently. Now it feels that the majority of their events have moved over to Twitter and Facebook which is a shame because past events on their website were really fun.

And I have no problem if others want to make fools out of themselves to win something, just think it's awful that Sideshow asks people to do it.

If you click reply to post on that specific post and submit your tweet with photo then you'll see it on that post. If you check the hashtag #malgusyourself then you should see it there somewhere.

And I despise these f#%'n type of contests, make a fool out of yourself with the slightest chance of winning something. All these social media contests don't feel at all like part of a special event and the majority of people that enter them are not Sideshow customers, the majority of them have never bought something from their website. Sideshow needs to go back to the old Spooktacular format on their website.

According to who? That's just a very definitive statement that seems impossible for you to support in any way.

I don't mind the goofy contests. They are far more amusing than "tweet a hashtagh, be entered into a drawing."

I thought of canceling my order of Robocop and buying the combo, $60 off the diecast Robo, basically does make the ED 209 $200 after rewards! BUT there is still $16 shipping for me with the combo and I lose the $30 NRD on my original order, so still not worth it because of that.

I think I figured in the end I save $10 (since I used a $20 coupon on my original Robo order)

Still has to be the first time I have ever seen them discount a PRE-ORDER item with Robocop! and 20%, wow! if I hadn't ordered Robo already I might take that combo pack.

Is there a discount for just Robocop anyone?

Holy cow... just checked my total RPs... I have 881 right now, nice! Already had 581 from other purchases, and thanks to the 300 from Spook so far I am sitting on $45! So far none of the deals have tickled my fancy, so I am thinking about what I might apply my points to after Spook is over. Right now I'm looking for an '89 Batmobile, but unfortunately won't find one of those on SS anymore.
