There's a list of eligible items when you select 'Use Code'.

I was hoping to use it on the Alien LSB, but no luck.

Yeah, the system only allows one type of discount to be applied at a time.

You can only apply one check-out discount, but there's nothing stopping you from applying to a product that already has built-in discounts, such as a clearance item, or something that already has 10% off, etc.
