Re: Current discount codes at SSC and other random rumblings

Speaking of super-short answers, mind taking a second and PM'ing me the new monthly coupon code? I'm waiting for it to re-order R2 and it would be great to do that within the next couple of days. ;) Win-win for Sideshow and me I say.

I promise I won't say anything to anyone else here in the thread about it.

There's no code this month as there was an issue with the company that prints up our monthly postcard not being able to print it on time for us. There should be a new postcard next month though!

I see lower than forecast sales for Sideshow this and next month... Incidentally, pixels and bits (and even bytes) can be produced at the drop of a hat. Just saying. Cough, email/newsletter code.

So we can expect next months code to have the value of 2 months! Excellent.....

Re: Current discount codes at SSC and other random rumblings

Short answer here...You cannot. Amazon checkout will only allow one to use the credit card they have on file with Amazon. Using an Amazon gift card is not possible. I believe this is due to the fact that the item your purchasing is coming from a second party site (and not directly on the Amazon site). Amazon gift cards are set up (with their own Amazon T&C) to be used on their official channels, so I can see it being incredibly tricky to allow their gift cards to be used on non-Amazon official channels (since those second party sites could reside anywhere in the world and would have their own rules in regards to gift card usage/T&C). Amazon checkout is just another option to make paying a little easier (don't have a card on file with Sideshow or a paypal account but do have an established Amazon account? Then the option to checkout without having to set up a payment method is there).

I thought that would be the case. Darn it. I can usually get family to give me Amazon gift cards for my birthday and holidays, so it would have been a great way for them all to contribute to my purchasing Sideshow products...since Sideshow doesn't do gift cards! :tap

Anyway, thanks for the answer, Alex! :wave

There are TONs of opportunities for discounts on products multiple times a month through all various forms of emails that are sent out. No, not on Pre-Order items (which is what most of you here seek of course) but there are some good opportunities that do come through every month for In-Stock items.

There's a monthly postcard? I'm being serious ,I've never gotten one. Is there a different list you need to sign up on?

It's sent out in the product box (or attached to the outside of the box) for items shipped out to folks (for most of every month or while supplies last of the postcard).

Just remember…up to $25 in points (and there is an Asterix to lead y'all to T&C in regards to reward point earning in cases of extra reward earning), so if you use the coupon code your total points earned will be on the total amount you paid out of pocket. So for the Silver Centurion, if one uses the code, the total amount of points you'd earn (roughly) is around $20 and not $25.

Purchasable Sideshow Gift Cards should be coming in the very near future. So good timing for bringing that subject up. :)

I don't generally pre-order, except limited items directly from small producers. At the moment I want to use a code on R2, which you've been shipping for over a week. I don't really care about the overstock Hot Toys you guys are constantly discounting. ;)

Don't want to come across as a demanding jerk, but why does the code have to be printed on a card? I tend to place orders at about the same rate that the codes come out these days. Not a coincidence
