I thought this would be a good topic to start up. This is for debate and discussion regarding current events in the news and politics.

Given what seems to be taking up the most column inches right now maybe someone can start with their opinion regarding the Affordable Care Act. Do you support it? Do you want it repealed? What fixes need to be made? Are you angry the president lied repeatedly? Do you think Republicans are grandstanding or truly outraged?

Since we have the entire internet at our disposal we have ONE RULE:
You are entitled to your opinion but that does not mean you are entitled to be taken seriously. Do not make baseless points without any evidence to back it up. If you want to use a figure to support your argument provide a link to a reputable source to validate it.

Careful with politic topics.

From the FAQ:
"For the above reasons; the topics involving politics and religion are discouraged. A good guideline is - if you wouldn't say it to a casual acquaintance at work then you shouldn't say it here."

With respect I am sorry to say political threads are not allowed here. No matter how good intentional they are, they always turn into a **** fest as opinions/ choices on these matters are very personal.
They get very heated and while (as you say) everyone is entitled to their opinion, not everyone here is mature enough to accommodate that and try force theirs onto others. That causes great problems, back and forth, bickering, insults and eventual thread closures.

If you wish to discuss politics/religion or other matters like that I suggest you find another forum for those kind of discussions rather than a toy forum.

So in light of this I am closing this thread now, sorry.
x :peace
