This was one of the most enjoyable custom figures |I have made so far... my son loves Star Wars and was disappointed that you couldnt get a 12 inch figure of Anakin after he gets singed on Mustafar.
After a good look at his Sideshow Anakin figure, and seeing that a UK supplier had the Sith eyes version on special offer I drew up my plans.
I sourced some pictures of the make up from the Web, and found some with the shot of his prosthetic limbs being applied after he gets rescued, the idea being to have him with detachable legs.
From top to bottom:
I removed the hair, used body filler for scarring and crispy flaky bits on the scalp, then hand brushed the paint in multi layers for that toasty look. I didnt want the dark brown Medicom Vader look, that was too toasty and had already been done.
Scarring and burns were added to the body and the left arm was chopped at the bicep. The second prosthetic arm was attached after swapping the thumb and alterations made to some of the hand plates to look like a left hand.
The legs were chopped mid-thigh and the robotic legs were built and made from scratch... still managing to keep a bendable knee joint, and slotting them into the hollow thighs for detachment.
I cheated on the foot though... used a Hot Toys Truetype foot and painted it silver!
The clothes were then cut and frayed and hey presto! Crispy Anakin!
Just as a footnote, anyone interested in buying him PM me an offer!
