WOW! ALWAYS WITH YOU, IT'S JUST....JUST WOW! :horror

You are one brilliant artist! Your work inspires me. And is it me, or is your style so utterly GOTHIC! Not just the subject matter, but your tone? I see you doing a Vampira and her looking just right. That eerie look. Anything you do has it. The straitjacket Joker still haunts me. These new ones, amazing.
That scary guy.....you win! Brilliant!

Thanks so much Les! I tend to gravitate towards the macabre... Halloween is my favorite holiday after all! And I have to give you props too my man, it was your Joker that inspired me to try this one.... plus I have a deep obsession with the character!:naughty

After whipping up my Prison Joker, i had a left over DCD body. I picked up an Applause ^^^^ Tracy fabric doll from ebay and put that body to use, giving me a figure I've wanted for a long time....

Speaking of DC Direct, I got their new Joker figure the other day and he looked like this..

What is he looking at?!?!
So, I had to fix it, and for once I thought I'd share a bit of my process.
First I applied several coats of goosefeather. I like this because it sets his eyes apart from his white skin and gives them a sort of jaundiced look...

Next I make an indication of the cornea and fill it in with gloss black...

Then I filled in the black area with some kelly green, careful to leave a black border...

finally, I put a slight trim of seafoam green then added a gloss black pupil. I finished up by adding some watercolor to give him the reddish tinge and sealed it with some future floor varnish for gloss...

Much better....

Both of those turned out really nice! Your Joker looks alot more sinister now, which is always good.

I think it was back in 1997 that Palisades realeased their 12 inch Resevoir Dogs figures. They really have some nice scuplts but the bodies and outfits were the pits. When Sideshow introduced theirs, I thought they were good, but not better enough for me to justify buying another set. So I have decided to slap the old Palisades heads on some new bodies with new outfits. But i am also giving them a paint upgrade. Mr. White shall be first...

Here's the original....

And after a much needed repaint...

Pics coming of the head on it's new body. I have to get some more matte sealer!

Not really customs per say, but perhaps custom photos? Here are some shots I took recently that have been artsied-up in photoshop...

I finally got my Joker in yesterday (YAY!), so I thought I'd jump on the repaint bandwagon. I gotta say, I LOVE this figure and it will take a lot to dethrone it...
