Potentially,
If they used the Flashpoint storyline in what Flash did
, they may actually be able to tie things up with the movie lines. Re-boot Arrow so he's not stealing so much stories from Batman; ditch Miller and use Grant in the JLA (they look almost the same anyway) And then use the T.V series to expand on the characters so that when it gets to the movies, it can have a better impact and wider scope. Give Grant and the cast the Flash movie and do the same method with Cyborg, Shazam and Aquaman.

They won't be mixing the film and tv divisions

No, they won't but they should. DC has control over all their characters unlike Marvel and they are letting the opportunity slip away to do great story telling. Marvel did it right by controlling content in their Netflix, tv and movie content.

Poor Barry :lol

Supergirl is going to be so different on the CW. With that said, if they do Flashpoint Paradox for S3, it would be interesting how they will pull it off without Batman being in the CW universe. I guess they will use Arrow in place of Bats. Not having Wonder Woman will seem weird as well

It's definitely cool but the tv division for marvel is totally separate now and other than some fun nods the movie universe has little impact on the tv world and tv has zero impact on the movies

Completely agree with everything right there. Maybe Arrow will use guns instead of arrows?

I'd like to let the DC TV people know that it's ok for a hero to be happy with a significant other. The show isn't going to come crumbling down if Barry and Iris are together. They worked it out for a long time in the comics.

:lol

Since I don't watch Supergirl or LoT I would like DC to merge those two into a Legion of Superheroes show.

I'd love to believe that but the show is on the CW. Angst-filled teen romance is their bread and butter and it gets old really quick.

Every show with a love interest has ended soon after they get together

That's due to poor writing more than anything else. There are shows that have gone on for several seasons after the main characters got together. If the writers use the will-they-won't-they romance as a crutch instead of good storytelling then the show should end. Flash has a long history of being with Iris. It can work if they do it right.

Finally watched last two episode.
Terrible finale, waste of John Wesley Shipp's awesomeness, dumb cliffhanger...

Will be watchin' next season only because I really like Cisco and Joe.

When the characters are at odds or play well off each other when they aren't togetner...such as Moonlighting, you are 100% correct, but in this show Barry and Iris' "love story" isn't the focal point of the show....it's a background subplot and even if they get together Barry as the Flash is still the focal point of the show so in this case I don't think it will hurt anything unless the writers blow it and focus on it too much.

Overall it was enjoyable, but I really can’t wrap my head around some of their techno-babble. Not sure if it’s just your typical it-doesn’t-really-make-sense-but-go-with-it-anyway kind of stuff, or if it really does make sense but I just don’t fully understand it. I don’t follow the comics either but I keep seeing everyone mention Flashpoint and resetting the timeline.

Also the time wraiths thing. Why didn’t they ever go after Zoom before since he’s breaking speedster rules left and right all the time? Why do they only come when Barry breaks the rules?

Regardless, that last thing he did was so dumb because he’s already come to terms with it TWICE in the show. So apparently he’s not over it. Which means that next season will be spent trying to reset what he did and get things back on course since it undoubtedly will have serious repercussions.
