Cyber Hobby Hans Landa- Black Coat Version

With the release of the HT Inglorious Basterds Aldo, everyone was waiting for an HT Col Hans Landa. As of yet, it has not materialized. Cyber hobby (DML) has released 2 verisons of Landa. A opening film , black Jacket version and a Dress unform version.
To me the Landa character made the film, so I decided to pick it up.

Opinions:
I wont go into details other than the uniform and gear are basic German DML. No biggie here. Not HT quality, The suitcase and Pipe are obvious accesories that would come with this fig. As for the sculpt, it is right on target. I picked this up on ebay for $72.00 so no complaints here. If Ht releases theyre version of Landa in the future, Im sure Ill have to pay more than double the price. Im content. Here are some pics....

Looks pretty good... still, I'll wait for HT as the finished product will look much better if they do it. And if they don't I'll just live w/o him in my collection.

I can live w/o Aldo, but not Landa. I will be picking this up, its clear Hot Toys isn't doing him at this point.

Thats EXACTLY how I feel! I really like the HT Aldo, but Landa MADE the movie.
Id like to see someone Like Boot do a repaint on this!

This one looks much much better then I expected! The only thing holding me back is that it would definitely need to be repainted to be able to stand next to Aldo and I just don't have the talent for that. But I dunno, maybe with the cheap price and repaint it would come out to about the same as a HT. It's a real shame they are doing Landa....at least it seems like they aren't.

I agree here to an extent. I think if you took either Aldo or Landa out the movie wouldn't be the same, they were both fantastic parts and played to perfection. I like Landa just a bit better but Aldo was a joy to see on screen as well so I just consider it a win win. And yeah...I would love to see what Boot could do, his painting is stunning! I wonder how much he would charge

I plan on picking this figure up. Hot Toys really dropped the ball on this character. I'd rather have a Hans Landa than no Landa at all.

Looks like the Hans Landa to me. Don't really see Steve Carrell in there. Maybe a new paint job would bring out the sculpt more.

Doesn't look like Carrell at all. It's a decent likeness of Christoph Waltz, but I agree that a better paint job would bring him out more.

looks cool, but I would love a Hot Toys version of this figure with a couple outfits like a DX or like T-1000. One can dream right?
