I can't really stress just how mild these couple of spots are. If you didn't know that they were there then you'd be hard pressed to spot them. I can't even photograph them at all. It's just not worth the hassle of sending it back, and I really don't think that it will affect the resell value much at all if I should ever need to waaaaaay down the road when the statue will be hard to find anyway.

If you're happy with it thats all that matters.

:exactly: Thanks for the suggestion though. Cyclops is my favorite X-Men hero character so I'll never resell anyway. Also, with a little more scrubbing with warm water and soap on a rag I think I'll be able to get it all off. I just did that and got a little more. I had originally just used room temp water and no soap, and that had gotten most of it.

I just think it's a funny story, because it really was all over his caboose and calves like he crapped himself :lol (a little on his crotch too, I don't know what he was doing)

Although I did still tell them what for:

"Hi,

I received the replacement body yesterday. I'd like to say that there was some kind of black grease like material on portions of the body, and I do not appreciate that at all. I was able to wash most of it off. There's barely a hint of it remaining on a couple of places, and I think that with a little more warm water/mild soap on a soft rag, like I've already done, will get it completely off. I can't even photograph it at this point, and I can't see returning this body over something so minute that you have to have your eye only a couple of inches from the statue, and know that it's there, to be able to see it. I just wish that you'd be more careful with this kind of thing in the future. As many collectors have said time and time again on the Sideshow Freaks Forums, with the amount of money that we spend on these things; an equal amount of care and double checking should be done on your end.

Here is a picture of the original body post-destruction."

At least you told them about it, not that they give a shat :lol

I have always wanted the chance to destroy a premium format. I have rehearsed the destruction 1,000 times in my head, but have yet to get the opportunity.

It will involved gasoline, bullets and possibly some whipped cream.

:rotfl
Although you lost me at the whipped cream...

Btw, I used a big ass sledge hammer. It was fun.

In my original batch of images I did not have his jacket off for any of the shots.

Since I got the replacement body I decided to leave it off for awhile so:

I also decided to take just this one shot with the light-up turned off. Also, how come in the few pics by other people who have the jacket off, they don't have his hand touching the visor? It's very easy to do without the jacket on and yet everyone else still has a gap.

You must have the super exclusive poopy pants version, cause there is no way in hell the left hand on mine is capable of touching the visor.

I was able to do it with the previous body as well :dunno
If you have the jacket off, just try adjusting the arm in the socket a bit maybe? I know that when I had the jacket on there was no way it could touch, but it was still pretty close.

I'm bummed I had to have ss put him on hold for me since I'm heading out to sdcc next week

I was really hoping to get him before I left
