Well, I think Lee drew the brown Wolvie for the most part, and even then, that isn't a Lee design (the horrible yellow and blue outfit here probably was). And I realize that they are doing Lee-era costumes, but it bums me out since many of those costumes suck so bad. Oh, well. I guess it's this or nothing for Cyclops, so you do what you gotta do. Personally, I'm gonna lobby Sideshow to reconsider :rock

BTW, I'm 30 and I grew up reading comics in the 80s. By the time the 90s cheese rolled around, I was getting away from comics.

don't like it don't buy it :huh

nobody in this thread really cares

didn't jean wear the phoenix costume for a bit in the 90's?

Marvel (via Jim Lee) re-did some of the X-Men's costumes in preparation for the launch of X-Men #1. The X-Factor guys who re-joined the X-Men got new costumes. Jean Grey got that orange/blue number. Cyclops got the blue costume with the yellow bandoliers. Beast, well, maybe he got a new pair of underwear. Iceman and Archangel stayed the same with only minor tweaks. Colossus also got a new costume.

I know that lol

I'm 29 :rotfl I was around then

I have good taste, and the millions of people who bought X#1 and set that record thought so too :nana::nana:
Sorry, but I was referring to those who didn't enjoy and care about my always thoughtful, and eminently insightful posts. Not to those who like pouch-o-plenty Cyclops. :)

And I should remind everyone that in the early 90s, Rob Liefeld's art and designs were also considered incredibly cool :D

Then no one in this thread has good taste :peace

I wonder if the exclusive will have a complete body suit made up of nothing but pouches and leg/arm buckles?

The great thing is that no matter how many complaints the Jim Lee outfit gets it'll still be the one made :nana: and that goes for most of the X-Men PFs.
Jim Lee for the win :rock

Personally, I would love to get the old Kirby outfits as PFs. But the late 70s/early 80s designs are, to my mind, the most iconic and would be most desirable.

Don't know pouches, all the experience drawing them paid off when he started on Batman! : P

Yeah. . .Batman could actually use those pouches for something, though. I guess Cyclops keeps his chapstick, spare change, condoms, or chicklets in there. Eye visor wipes?

And the leg-belts could obviously be useful in combat should someone need a tourniquet quickly.

Yah every one of those pouches has cleaning cloths and solutions for his visor. He really hates it when the ruby quartz has smudges.....

Like it or not, the Jim Lee era of the X-Men was one of the most popular times for the X-Men and also offers the biggest customer base for Sideshow as the majority of these readers are in their 30's.
I'm in my 30's and would take a classic Phoenix PF over Lee's 90's costume any day.

By the time the 90s cheese rolled around, I was getting away from comics.
Ditto.

Again, ditto.

You guessed right - ditto.

I'm with you on this one, karamazov!

Sadly, that makes only two of us.

I am 33 and I agree 100%. A classic Phoenix/Dark Phoenix is my new dream 1/4th. The key word is classic because, knowing Sideshow, they will give us some goofy-alternate-reality-rarely-seen version of Phoenix.

OUCH! ...that was a low blow man...a very low blow. :monkey2

Some people seem to complain about the pouch thing alot, I wonder what'll they say about Hulk. Is this gonna be a new Hulk look, retro, or Banner taking over?
