Dagobah Luke and Yoda PF

Yoda looks fantastic and he will be the #1 reason I buy this piece. I'm sure you're right Dave someday when I look back I'll end up liking this piece a ton and think man was a I dumb but I still wanna see some more pics.

But do you guys see the apparent proportional and shape differences between the sculpted Yoda and puppet Yoda?

I'd be curious to see pictures of the ESB puppet taken with different lenses. In the photo comparison above, the eyes on the PF version look closer into the nose than the film frame, but in a way that makes it seem like the entire face was "deflated" in comparison to the film. Whenever I see that kind of distortion, particularly on closeups, I tend to suspect that the focal length of the lenses are different.

As an experiment for anyone who hasn't seen this effect, grab a point-and-shoot camera with a proper physical zoom (where the motor moves the telescoping lens back or forth). Zoom out as far as it will go and take a picture of someone's face so that it fills the frame. Then Zoom in and walk back as far as you need to to take another picture where the same face fills the frame. Then compare the pictures. You'll see the features of the face are completely different in the two pictures. That could well be the effect we're seeing in these two pictures (or it could be that the sculpt is off...it's really hard to judge without multiple photos of each).

Here's an example. I took these two pics of my Han PF with the same camera. The first pic is zoomed in:

See how Han's nose gets bigger in the second one and the eyes move further apart?

5. The Exclusive ROCKS THE HOUSE (and no I can't tell you what it is )

I dunno If this is a hint but maybe the exclusive will be a portion of Yoda's House (she says rocks the house), Dusty says that It will be more like a Diorama so the base will be large I think and maybe completed by Yoda's house... or maybe as tom said it may be the floating stones... or Vader's broken mask revealing Luke's face... anyway it will rocks:chew

I meant a portion of the house, half of it, but I see that the floating stones or the vader mask would e a great addition.

Well I'm officially disappointed. I have no doubt whatsoever that this will be an amazing figure set and I concede that this is probably the only way we may see a Yoda figure. I'm just disappointed to see another Luke after only six PF figures. I'm even more sad after reading the Jedi Defender article that there will be a X-Wing Luke with so few other figures mentioned. I would have been very happy with just this Luke/Yoda combo without the Farmer Luke or a future Pilot Luke. All that being said, what depressed me most after reading that article was the lack of a Stormtrooper being mentioned. I know it's an old article and I shouldn't read too much into it but no Stormtrooper makes Fritz sad.

Fritz, I'd be amazed and disapointed if we never saw a PF Stormtrooper. I have a feeling this will be a decently long line and you have to realize that Luke is the center piece of the whole OT. I don't own the first Luke but was more than thrilled at this announcement becuase this was one of my most wanted pieces. I am also looking forward to the X-Wing Luke, just hopefully it'll be way down the pipeline.

I was thinking, the first ones were from ANH (excluding GG of course) and now we have Dagobah Luke/Yoda and while we could be wrong there is a strong belief that a PF Boba Fett is coming next, which are both ESB.

The five ANH were obviously planned, but two ESB so close together makes me wonder if they're hitting these out by movie, which would make me think we might be seeing a Lando after Boba Fett. Isn't idle speculation grand?

It will be interesting to see if Tom's dream is true. That they had some delays for Fett and this one was supposed to be after him but they bumped this one up to be next. We can all dream can't we?

The clues certainly support Fett, although it could be for the Emperor too. I don't recall them all but I remember its a villain, not from ANH or the PT. If you factor in the possibility of going by movie it makes Fett even more likely.

Fett would be great but unlike most people, I much rather have a Sidious PF. He is just too cool. :emperor :emperor

I'd love a PF Sidious. I'd also like a PF Emperor though. I'd take either honestly; but, no more duplicates (unless played by a different actor like Obi-Wan). Ok, with the exception of this:
