Is everyone planning on purchasing both versions?

To be honest, I am not ready to spend another $300+ on the Golden Age Godfather. I am happy with my formal suit Vito that goes well with my formal suit custom Michael Corleone. I rather spend that money on a different character. Even tho the sculpt is amazing, I still think it’s a very pricey figure for what it includes

Yes 100% I've actually ordered 2 of the golden years purely for both love of the film and display options. Even the closed eyes sculpt on tux adds that extra display.

You will regret passing on these 2 releases. I have not seen so far from a mass produced figure company the quality in the script and the clothing from anyone else.

I preordered the Golden Years (grey sweater and coat) version. I was actually more interested in that version from day one than the tuxedo outfit because I have the Hot Toys and Enterbay Godfather figures and wanted something different. The Golden Years version has three different and distinct looks, which is exciting and makes me want to get two or three to exploit the various clothing options.

Yes I pre ordered both versions because really its unmissable. This is the only 1/6 scale (decent) figure after hot toys and hot toys was made probably 11 years ago so we as fans were dying to have a good Godfather figure. I pre ordered last year in November. A long wait for me. My store will ship the formal version between Jan and Feb 2022 and the golden years version is expected in April but its just an estimate.

I posted a comparison picture earlier of the formal version tux and the tux by Yunsil which is a very expensive suit but the damtoys suit is very superior to Yunsil. So that means the Golden years will have some amazing fabric and tailoring too. You can pose him in many ways including with the bag of oranges in his hands just before he was about to be hit. Endless possibilities. Very excited to see in hand pictures of it soon.

I am a big time Godfather fan and I can pass on any figure to get these two, formal and golden years version.

My thoughts.

Really love this! The comment on the chair feeling cheap is totally false! Enterbay chair was well made but total garbage.

The chair is on point though mine leans forward, I'm sure it's meant to tilt back.

Tailoring is yunsil level but still no stripe! Still looks amazing though!

Sculpts are pretty dam good, my only real complaint with the set is the table should be in 2 pieces. Mine arrived broken.

This is the definitive release imo. HT and Enterbay are still good looking figures though.

Hot toys by far has the best box and I still have a soft spot for their sculpt. Also have the correct pants with the stripe down the side.

Enterbay has the best sculpt matrieal - solid resin with eyes popped inside, which has amazing detail and paint.

Dam toys - By far the best tailoring. For some reason the 2nd portrait reminds me of a bootleg by burning soul. The main portrait is growing on me though.

This is where I'm at. I would LOVE to get both, but space is at a premium. I went with the formal as to me, that's the definitive look for this character.

I'm leaning more towards the Golden Year's. I’m a one per character kind of guy and I don’t want my figures competing against each other! Also would love to use the $300 for an entire new character! I still have not officially decided but its kind of how I feel right now!
