There were strong parts in GIJ2? :lol

I kid I kid, I didn't know she was in that, but now that you mentioned it I remember her part. :lol

I thought Zod was far far better than most MCU villains, Faora too. I have no idea what to expect from Millennial Luthor. Darkseid has a pretty big character though, if they write him correctly.

I remember hearing Jeph Loeb say that Zod was the hero, and Clark was evil for not letting him use the planet and the codex. It was one of the reasons I defended the film so much back in 2013. That poor film. :lol

I remember hearing that on a podcast somewhere. No way was Zod a hero, but he wasn't really a villain either. Clark wasn't much better though.

The actress is a real life black belt. Does that make you feel any better?

I'm taking a wait and see approach when it comes to her. So far though her little introduction at the end of the trailer did nothing for me.
I mean Michael Jai White is a black belt too :lol

Any good fight choreographer can make even the most out of shape actor look badass, overweight Laurence Fishburne in the Matrix Sequels for example :lol

Acting is always my number one concern when it comes to movies and television. I just have a feeling that she's going to take away from the darker, psychological and more intriguing stuff with Punisher and Daredevil in the show to remind us this is a comic book property, the same crap that I felt at times brought down the quality of the first season for me. I did enjoy the first season though, but it could have been much better if the acting and tone was consistent from certain characters.

Also after watching Mad Max Fury Road and witnessing an awesome character like Furiosa, it's hard to take most of these female actresses seriously because they come off way too unbelievable for me.

That's disconcerting, but I never seen her in anything, so I'm just going to hope she's good! Hopefully, it's not going to be like Maggie Gyllenhaal in the Dark Knight. I couldn't buy her chemistry at all with Christian Bale or Aaron Eckhart, so I wasn't a big fan of the scenes with her. I know a lot of people had that problem with Katie Holmes in Batman Begins, but I preferred her. Maybe because I felt like she grounded him a bit.

People had a problem with Katie Holmes? I thought she was fine. Maggie Gyllenhaal was definitely one of the links, if not the only weak link of TDK, but her performance kind of made her death scene that much better :lol

I'm hoping this actress knocks it out of the park but I just have a bad feeling :lol

Why bring up Michael Jai White? Black Dynamite is one of my favorite movies of the past decade. The cartoon is terrible though. Blood and Bone is also a really good one his. No he wasn't great as Spawn, but there was a lot wrong with that movie that wasn't his fault.

**** the GI Joe movies, and **** shakycam, but I think that actress will be totally fine as Elektra. She actually looks more like Elektra in that movie than she does in the DD promo shots.

Find the word "acting" in my latest posts and I'll give you all my money. :wave

Because how else was she good? Kind of lost how that scene was supposed to show how she was good. Basically you just posted a scene that a stunt double could have done :lol

Because he's a black belt and a horrible actor lol.

He definitely has charisma though, like the Rock I wouldn't say is a good actor at all, but his charisma makes up for that.

does anyone else find it completely odd and compelling that Elektra has already had a feature length movie? Especially with all this talk about feminism and the "first" female superhero movie pending. I know the movie sucked but I just find it interesting that it was Elektra of all marvel superheroines.

Yeah, a lot of people refer to her as the "12 year old". I think that's ridiculous, but whatever! :lol

Yes, it made that death scene so much better. Although, I think Nolan intended it to be a very dramatic and sad moment. Not a moment for me to do a jig and sing "Ding Dong the Witch is Dead". :lol
