Thanks a million guys! I hope to upgrade down the line and get a better fitting suit, with my own name on it... as GB said... my last name has a cool ring to it.
And I know it works on a uniform already, been there done that.
I'm very lucky to have gotten this, talking with the guy last night as I tried to fix my electronics.. he let me know just how much I saved on this. To think that I put this entire outfit together and the only thing I had to pay for was the elbow pads. That's awesome.
He's still putting my belt together for me, and a set of ecto goggles... so yeah... I really got a damn nice deal. And a neat little fact about the suit, he said he wore it on a visit to Hook And Ladder 8 (the GB firehouse) and slid down the firepole there with it. So it's too cool to sell.. I will definitely hold on to it on the strength of that story alone.
I can't wait until i can sport it at a con.

Bill definitely is cooler. Nobody could beat the REAL Venkman.
Well guys, even more bad news here... A friend of ours killed herself over the weekend. While she wasn't a best friend or very close to us, we still were quite affected by her passing. It was only a few weeks ago that we last talked (at another friend's wedding), so it just seems completely out of nowhere.
I know she went through some hard stuff while in the Army in Iraq, but she never talked about it. And her BF and her were having issues... my Wife used to date him... so she can attest to his horrible BF skills. It's just a big shock, it's kept us both off center all weekend. We have a pic of her on the fridge from the friend's Bachelorette party, and every time I step over there I am reminded of the tragedy of this situation.
Work will continue here, as always... and life won't change much... I just wanted to share.
I just hope that she has found peace. I don't buy into any religious dogma, so I don't think that her actions have sent her to some torment... she's gone, that's all I know for sure. I honestly hope that wherever she is, she's better off. Otherwise, it was all for nothing. I wish I had known her better, she obviously needed much more support...
