Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

You may not need lawyers but you do need some patience and respect. If you have followed this thread, and don't just come here to b-i-t-c-h & moan, then you should be aware of all that Josh and his wife have gone thru. That kind of hell can wreak havoc on the best laid plans of execution. We've all had it take a while for emails and/PM's to get answered (not just from Josh - be thankful you didn't order from chris howes), and as was said, there are others here waiting far longer than you. Rest assured when you get your item it will be a masterpiece. Josh has been hit by tons of devastation, but he WILL deliver.

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Again, question was to Josh. Not to anybody else.
There was only one main question:
WHEN?
That's all about questions.
About my attitude - if somebody tells me that: "The two figures won't be long now, I am thinking within a week or so."
And I'm waiting half a year after this - it looks just like I was fooled & nothing is ready at all. And it is only a beginning of new hopes & promises.
I was patient & tried to contact via PM's & e-mails for a long time - just ignorance.
Again, no flood here please. Question was to Josh.

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

And, if you post in a PUBLIC forum, be prepared for PUBLIC comments.
Especially if you start bashing a long time member of the board and in a thread dedicated to him.

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

If a long time member of the PUBLIC board taking PUBLIC commissions with a 100% pre-pay & gives actual shipping date, almost always on-line on the board & don't answers PM's & e-mails for a solid periods of time - he should be ready for comments in a thread dedicated to him.
AGAIN!!! Question was to Josh. Like the only posiible way to contact him.

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Settle down Komrade.
And AGAIN, as he should be ready for comments in a public forum, SO SHOULD YOU.

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Settle down Dude.
Josh, provide info here or via PM, or via e-mail or somehow.
I was a good listener for almost 7 months - your turn to give a REAL actual shipping date & report about ACTUAL progress.
But ignorance for such a long time sucks, man. That's just not right.

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Patience. Patience. Patience.
Like eigthsamurai said, others, including us, have been waiting far longer. If we can be patient and understanding of what he's gone thru, why can't you?

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Because the deal was about end of april.
That's all.

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Well your point has been made, now wait for a reply rather than get into a battle over it.

But as others have said, Josh is working through a backlog and will get our stuff to us. Just takes time and patience.

As you can see, there was was my message to Josh, not anybody else.
But instead of this I get some roars from his bodyguards that force me to forget about my money & just keep waiting for something that I'm already waiting for 7 months instead of 1 month. Waiting with ignorance :chew
Anyway, I hope I will get some info from Josh. And this time it will be a real info.

I don't blame you for being impatient and upset, and I don't blame Josh either. Just a ^^^^ty situation all-around. I have some pieces I been waiting on as well... pieces that have been taking longer than your's. Josh seems like a stand up guy, so I have the confidence he'll pull through on his end. I know he needs money up front so he can purchase the necessary parts to put together our pieces.

Hopefully he can finish stuff off, but I know when I am down and out, I am not the most productive person. So I can't be a hypocrite myself.

If Josh didn't have bad luck, he wouldn't have any luck at all. Like others have said, they've been waiting longer for customs than you have, and so have I. The difference between us and you is we're following this thread where he gives updates when allotted, to keep us posted on what's going on. And suffice to say, if you were in his shoes, I really doubt you'd even finish anything. But he is, and despite the ^^^^ life's been trowing at him, he's trudging through determined to finish. That alone deserves at least a bit of understanding.

You'd have a better understanding of why the delays are what they are, if you read up a bit. Hell, just go back two weeks! The time he takes to deal with your rant is time better served completing the backlog of projects he's got. If he takes the time out to answer every Tom, D!ck and Harry who's impatiently emailing, PMing, and demanding responses here, he'd never get anything done. Personally, I'd rather see Josh batten down the hatches, ignore everyone and storm full steam ahead and finish, if nothing more than to give him a well deserved rest.

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

While I understand what you are going through Sined (because we all are), I am agreement with thenammagazine's post as well (a bit harsh, but I get the meaning behind it).

One thing Josh DOES do is give updates - and those help A LOT. He is atleast keeping all of us updated on his situation and what he is doing. That is enough for me, but that's just me. I fully understand wanting more updates. But like so many people have said, a lot of it has to do with a lot of the bad luck that Josh has had. The way I deal with it is to just not think about it. That way when Josh gets to my stuff, it's going to be the most awesome surprise ever when I get that package. Again, just me.

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

One more time - you can wait forever.
For me - this is not the way.
Don't tell me about a life tough-calls & etc. Everybody have a lot of troubles in the real life.
If you havent's read my post's - read it.
I'm waiting a lot. When delay's starts - there was NO (one more time - NOTHING) life-tough calls & etc. And it was "almost ready! Just finishing right now"!!! This looks like a fooling.
One more time - it was a 100% pre-pay with a "shipping at the end of april".
That was a DEAL with a grown-up MAN.
If you wasn't part of a deal & don't know the exact details - don't get yourself in it.
One more time - you can wait FOREVER. You can jump from the roof with a "Hail to Josh!" screams. You can just do it. That's all. Don't force me to do the same.
I have waited 6 months more & I was simply ignored.
That's the only way to react for me.
Looking at the Chris Howes thread is also a great example. This dude was a nice guy too. With a big post's about hard-times that really touches the soul. And what?
Just don't need to force smb to do smth if it was a serious deal.

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

I understand your position, I have been waiting for about 14 months for two figures (all the while seeing others who paid much later than me get their work done :huh) and had I known then what I do now I wouldn't have purchased/comissioned them at all; but we are all at Josh's mercy here and life has definately thrown him some low blows. I don't think that the timetable he was given, or stated is unreasonable, but what can we really do now? :dunno He is doing the best he can with his current life situation, and without walking a mile in his shoes I have to accept that.

I was told back in May that one figure was done, I have yet to see it; and that the Joker just needed minor finishing touches. It has gotten to the point where I really don't even want these figures now (I plan on selling them to at least recoup some of my cost :sick); a refund doesn't seem to be an option, so I am attempting to be patient too.

I think we should just trust Josh at this point, without adding any stress to his life, he has already stated in a number of posts that he really fraked things up and isn't taking future comissions. That to me is enough, now I need to allow him to climb out of this hole - what more can be done?

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Well, Josh and I didn't agree on a solid timeline, he said a month or 2, and surpassed that, which is fine, because I know it's not his dayjob doing these figures for us, BUT if you did have a solid timeframe suggested, and he did tell you it was only a week and now it's been 6 months, I see where you're coming from. If I were you I'd just ignore everyone's posts and wait for Josh to reply to you.

Just my 2 cents!

and @ Josh: you rock! :rock

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

If its any consolation the wait has always been worth it... I own 4 pieces from Josh and they are top-notch work.
