Auric is looking much of the awesome!

The over tunic, pants, boots and cloak were all from SSC Obi. The over tunic only looks darker due to the drying water treatment. The pants were bleached to a lighter shade to match TPM Obi. The white inner tunic is actually a Dragon scarf wrapped around his body and tied in the back.
What did you do to the pants, bleach them?

Luke is looking great Josh! The eyes are freakin' me out a little bit, but they look better then they did before :rotfl .

The plastic/toyish quality was my biggest reason why I wanted him redone, and from what I see so far, mission accomplished! I can't wait to see what he looks like when your done.

Thanks man! I really want to get him looking as nice as I can for you man. I know that Mark is under there somewhere just waiting to come out. :lol

And thanks Metaphorge! He should be out to you very soon too, so I'll be in touch when it's in the mail. And yes, I used regular old bleach on the pants... just watered down a bit.

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Here's an attempt at trying to improve my photos... Still needs better lighting to work properly, but it's a start. The Shocktrooper isn't finished, just about 70% there. And the others are old favorites...

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Somebody's gone out and got themselves a new camera? That or some good advice! That backdrop works bro!
Loving the new stuff.
And your Shocktrooper is tops! Loving him!

BRRRAAAAAVVVIIIIISSSIIIIMMMMOOOO!! :rock

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Thanks Les.... Yeah, same camera, just trying out a backdrop and soon to be better lighting. Maybe that will help showcase my work a little more.

And thanks for the kind words on the Shock.... he's almost there! :rock

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Hurray!!

Thanks for improving the camera techniques DA. A picture tells a thousand words and your pictures are worth a lot more than that.

Did that come out right?

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

that superman figure is amazing!! i think that is the best shot i have ever seen of the hot toys gem. did you do more than repaint his head and hands? It looks more muscular for some reason. i think i need to get one now!! (and have you paint him for me.)

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

The shocktrooper is lookin good. Got to get me one of those HT superman, he is at the top of my want list.

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Thanks guys! Yeah, that Supes is one of my favorite all time figures... Really sweet and a must have.

And Reinhardt, I didn't do anything but a repaint... just fixed his posture with normal posing and it really does fill him out. I stuffed his boots as well to give him added height. You have to find one man, you won't regret it. :rock

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Wow, that Shocker looks great! I've never been a fan of the candyclone but he's turning out really well--good job!

Thanks CF! Yeah, he is turning out a lot better than I thought he would. I can't wait to be done with him and have him standing next to my (soon to be) Hurricane Vader...:rock

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

While the Hot Toys Supes does nothing for me, the repaints really look great. If it were an Alex Ross Superman, that would be a different story. Great work.

Yeah, an Alex Ross Superman would be tops.... I'd LOVE to see one of those, right next to Alex Ross Batman of course...:rock

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

If that Shocktrooper is only 70% done, I can't imagine what it will look like when it's complete. Totally awesome work, Josh.

Absolutely! That was the original motivation.... Wanted you to have a nice pic that didn't have my kitchen in the background...:lol

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Hey guys! Thanks to Metaphorge and his awesomeness... I bought a softbox to use for my photography, so expect nicer pics as soon as it arrives. I am really excited about it, as my current photos are just not up to snuff.

Well, without further ado... tonight I finished my Shocktrooper... Here he is...
