Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

:lol:lol:lol:lol

I can wait Josh.

Cool man... It's just been killing me lately. I thankfully have become a little faster at this, but still the backlog is getting to be pretty ridiculous. I am hoping to move at least half of it this week, but you never know...

I know that there are a lot of people waiting on stuff and I swear it is coming, should be big updates in the next few days. I got a lot of it done last night, McClain was just the tip of the iceberg. Skin work is tough stuff, usually takes at least 3 to 4 coats to get it the way I want it. Once that is done it is a cakewalk, but the skin is what holds me up. :lol

Adventures of Meat McClane in the Kitchen of Death
...Meanwhile, we join our hero, trying in vain to reach a Hans that will never answer....

C'mon Hans! Talk to me! I see an Alien in here now, Hans! Did you do this? This isn't your style Hans....

I'm surrounded by wooden cutlery and no way out of here, Hans....
I think Josh is gone to....work. And there's no one here Hans...

Don't make me turn this oven on, Hans! I can warm it up nice and toasty Hans! You and Karl won't need boxer briefs when I get through!
Are you even out there? Hans! I don't even think WorGar has a Hans...

Man, this sucks! Alone....in a kitchen....with Aliens and....Dolph....
Dolph's big Hans! A big guy! Get in here! I don't like the way he's looking at me!

The adventures of Meat McClane continue....

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Josh, we really do need to start a John McClane or a DIE HARD image thread somewhere. In General maybe. These McClanes, and now, HANS...must be focused upon some more. I just saw DIE's too. We got several bleeding around here! :D

And, there is a WorGar Hans! I am impressed!

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

This is awesome!

I love that Mclane & that Hans!

I've got a Hans in the works, just haven't fooled with it in a while.

We DEFINITELY need a Die Hard thread since so many of us seem to be....ummmm...errrrrrrr....diehard Die Hard fans? :monkey1

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

I agree Les! I'm going to do my own Willis sculpt next... I want to join this party... I send you all a jumper with blood on it saying "I have a 1:6 McClane, HO! HO!"

BTW, Josh & Les your jobs are Amazing and next to my love of Die Hard movie the only reason I'm going to ry and sculpt the head myself... I want "SMIRK" Willis! Yippee Kay-Yay Mfers!

:rock:rock:rock:rock:rock

Dude.... Recipe PLEASE!! :monkey3

Les is so right... John is so lonely without Hans...:D

Thanks, Josh. It means a lot that you like it. Sorry to post on your personal thread but Les was "calling" me out. And thanks to everyone else who liked my Hans Gruber. It's the only one around that I know of. Maybe in all the world :)

OK, RECIPE quickly:

Headsculpt was a private OOAK commission. Suit is from the ToyPresident's Harry S. Truman. I did some alterations to slim it down a bit in the waist, sleeves and legs, ironed the lapels to bring the neckline low (80's style) and removed/resewed the buttons appropriately. Custom french blue shirt and maroon tie from ProjectARE. Walkie made from an BBI LAPD set (which I painted to exacting specifications), and the H&K P-7 is from Cy Girls accessories and was painted silver where needed.

A pretty simple figure once you have the parts. The walkie was perhaps the most detailed thing to do. Here's a compare between movie walkie and my little-tiny 1/6 walkie:

My eyes hurt remembering trying to paint the little details every time I see this picture. :)

Wow man! Now that is the kind of reference photo I needed for that damn Walkie.... It's been eluding me for this entire project. :rock

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Faramir is looking Fantastic and I can not wait to get him. Also I know I am an idiot but since I did not know how to remove a figure head could you remove the adapter on the head so I do not break it when I get it back.:D:monkey1

Will do my friend. I was going to tonight, but I figure I will wait until the head is sealed as to not damage the paint.

Also it lets me know which is yours and which is the other persons. :D

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Those faramirs are lookin' mighty fine!!!

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Thanks man... The beard is where most of the work is.... Not easy by a long shot. Fun, but complicated. :lol
