Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

You have got to charge more for your services. Your work is on par with Les, Mikey and the other talented painters on the board. It sucks to see you sell off your stuff like this. Charge a higher rate so that you can keep these awesome customs.

Thanks man! Yeah, I have recently realized that I might have to raise my prices to keep up and keep the level of work high. But not too much of a rise, just a few bucks. :D

But I really do appreciate that, it's pretty humbling being listed with Les and Mike. Those guys are my idols, they are the ones who got me here. :rock

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Finished a personal project today... My Season 8 (comic) Xander. Was very happy with the outcome and these pics do not do it justice. Hope to take some nice shots this weekend as well as my recent stuff. Also have a nice pic of an in work Snake.

Amazing job on Xander Josh. I love the eyepatch, and I like how you softened the 'saw blade' hairline. The outfit is a major improvement.

Thanks man! I hated that damn hairline... and that thick as Hell eyepatch strap. So I just glued on some string and glued the patch in place. :lol

I love the look he has in the new comic, really cool IMO. Still love the classic Xander clothes, but the new duds are pretty spiffy.

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Where do you find loose clothes for SSC figures? I was looking at a few sites but I wasn't sure what would fit.

Well I got the pants from Red Planet Toys and the rest of the gear from Monkey Depot. Most Dragon and HT stuff works for SSC, most of it actually fits BETTER as well. You'd be amazed the amount of cool stuff you can find.

Also on Ebay, I know BlackOpsToys and a few other sellers that always have what I need. :rock

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Cool. Thanks very much.
So how many Buffy figures do you have and which are you missing?

Well, just got Drusilla, Grad Day Buffy, Vampire Buffy, Angel and have Spike. Still need Werewolf Oz, Willow, Vamp Willow and the Master. Might still try and score Vamp Spike and Subway Spike... but still debating those.

Damn I am an addict. :lol

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Dude, I can relate to the addiction. I started gathering the Buffy figures less than a year ago and I'm only missing Darla, D'Hoffryn, Dru, Werewolf Oz, Angelus, The Master, Liam,/Angel, the Gentlemen and Buffy.
I just got Subway Spike last week and I'm finishing the subway car backdrop for his battle with Nikki the vampire slayer. The exposed joints suck but its a cool figure. Vampire Spike is very nice as well (Once you repaint him since he has a tan) but has some of the coolest accessories including a great fractured skull, a shotgun and the gem he wears in chosen.
I believe the werewolf Oz has "Cornelius' hands" from POTA, but a unique headsculpt. The human Oz is a fabulous piece, and perhaps the only one you might not think needs a repaint. I can't wait ill you get Willow because I would love to see if the paints can help her out. The vamp Willow is very good though.

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

I'd love to see that vamp Spike sculpt with one of your paint jobs.

Thanks TOS... I hope to get that one eventually too! Would be a lot of fun to paint. Anything Spike is cool to me. :rock2

Anyhoo, I also updated my website with the new Buffy figs and a whole new section. Will be doing some more to it tonight as well... so keep an eye out guys.

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

I feel your pain, er, enthusiasm, dude! :D

I have Hush Buffy, the lead Gentleman guy, Xander, Human Spike, my Willow redo project (Vamp Willow body and suit, with Good Willow head...yes...I have some spare Willow fodder...), Faith, The Master, and need Giles and Oz and maybe cheat the Angel Cordy over to the gang...not sure if I am even gonna try to get more, but am enjoying your gathering.

Why not! They rule! :rock
Can't wait to see them in person one day!

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Thanks Les! I can't wait to show you these figures... I know you will like what I did. I am severely proud of both of them and cannot wait to do the rest of the figures. :rock

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Im not going to try collecting buffy figure because if i start ill want to get the complete collection.
Im redoing a Oz with black hair as practice, left over part from getting the smaller sideshow body. Got some new cloth to go on him and i think hes going to turn out alright. Just hopeing to get a cheap guitar.
