When I said "less desirable", I did not mean it in the sense of inherently less worthy to be liked, but in the sense of "less popular" and thus less desirable to the market in general. I apologize for the apparent insult to the character, as it was unintentional, but in retrospect, I can see that my wording could give someone that impression. Clearly, tastes vary, and to someone who is an astute X-Men fan, Darkchilde may indeed be more desirable. In terms of the market, we will have to see what the full sculpt and paint is like. If her rear looks nice enough, than in hindsight, perhaps this might be more sought after, much like Black Queen.

I have no problem with SS capturing the unique characters. Makes it fun, heck, add Pixie too. Of course I want Jean and Storm but they will come in time.

Agreed, and this is where the 1/5 line really shines. Only super hardcore Darkchilde fans would pay 1/4 PF prices, and there probably aren't too many of those kicking around. In a smaller format with a cheaper price, SS will get more bites.

Agreed. I cannot see many people paying PF prices for this character but it should sell in Comiquette form.

So far, I love everything but the face....................inhaled too much brimstone fumes, I guess?

Hope the ex comes with a switch-out portrait, but I think it will only come with a print. Will be the dealbreaker for me.

The face looks wonky, and at 1/5 scale it's a definite pass.

I hope enough collectors band together against 1/5 scale so they start making everything in the same scale as PFs. I would hate to have to custom all my PFs to get the costume I want in the right scale ;(

As for less desirable characters, I probably would get her and Goblin Queen in 1/4 scale. I think 1/5 scale just hurts her sales even more.

If 1/4 characters like Silver Surfer and Ms. Marvel (even with the T&A going for her) have their ex editions still on second chance, I don't think SS would ever put an obscure character like Darkchilde or the goblin queen past the 1/4 drawing board.
