that's what i meant by it, since all the others are already 1/5 then no problem, i do agree somewhat with the scale issue with other pieces in the Com lineup like why 1/4 scale for some then 1/5 for others.
...but in the end buy it if you like it, the old 1/4 scale or fail is getting old or is it just me.

I understand and agree that it is getting annoying; kinda like the old flipping debates. I think a few people do it simply to be annoying while others are expressing genuine frustration that characters that we have wanted for a long time (X-Men fans) are being released in inconsistent scales. Psylocke and Darkchylde are exceptions because they fit in with AH!/Brooks, but it is asinine as hell that we are having core X-Men characters released at the same time in different scales. In the end, you are right; buy what you like.

If I remember correctly, there were some people who were really angry that Hobgoblin was released in 1/5th.

Characters and teams change over time. Illyana has been in several X titles over the last year and a half since her return and to cool effect. I have no problem with SS capturing the unique characters. Makes it fun, heck, add Pixie too. Of course I want Jean and Storm but they will come in time.

I completely agree with you on this. I don't mind Sideshow mixing in the more obscure character as long as they are keeping up with the core characters as well. The only releases from Sideshow that have really pissed me off are the Black Queen for selfish reasons and Venomsaurus because I felt like we hadn't gotten a decent release in a long time; I think "Manthing" annoyed me as well but I admitted that he looked cool.

When it comes it Illyana, I would have prefered this:

I'm looking forward to seeing the reveal in a few days but unless she's the most amazing thing I've ever seen then I'm going to have to pass on her. Too much on pre-order as it is (and one of my wait List items just converted) but I do hope she turns out well for the sake of those who will be buying her.

Everyone knows that a lightsaber means Jedi, which means cool, plus a hot Twilek with red skin is different, and thus interesting. All that plus she is hot equals great seller. With Darkchilde, all most people see is a horned hot chick in a skimpy outfit, and most people have no idea about her. Darth Talon represents Jedi, which is immediately recognizable and thus is more desirable.

I never said she wouldn't sell or wasn't desirable, just that I think she is LESS desirable than Darth Talon.
