Hello,
I just got my Exclusive yesterday, I have a question about the cape. My edges appear to be frayed and there are holes lining the edges as well as if the stitching has come out. I've been looking through the pics here and it looks as though this is not the intended effect. Can someone confirm this for me and maybe post pics of theirs?

Darkness commanded me to buy some plywood, 2x4's, have a piece of glass cut, some flourescent lighting and paint it all black for his arrival.
had to put a piece of styrene(I think it's called) like you see over the lights in office buildings because it put out too much light.
That's awsome . . . True dedication is being shown right there . . .

Legend was on the other night and a bunch of people at work watched it separately and it turned into this big discussion the next day about how the movie was just okay, but Curry was awesome and his character was rad. I just can't start buying PFs, it will ruin me.

Its an odd film... and for me I enjoy it (in large part) due to the nostalgia factor. I think if I watched it for the first time as an adult I would think it was too cheesy. I showed it to some people last year who had never seen it and I swear they thought I was crazy for recommending it 
But regardless of the rest of the film, Curry as Darkness is phenomenal. Just an excellent performance and great creature design and effect.

true plus i think it had to be watched during the 80's or you'd have to remember the 80's...if it came out these days even if someone was young it may not have the same effect for them because of the other movies they are watching. but Darkness is the constant cool no matter who/when/where it is watched.

So true. He's in my bedroom right now and I wake up and see him each morning on my dresser. Amazing piece!
He's my only PF and will likely stay that way unless/until I see something else that really blows me away as much as Darkness.

The Darkness PF is truly underrated... until it reaches 5,000 on eBay it will forever be underrated.
Thanks for the help all! I thought the frayed edges were intended until I saw the holes, I still think they're rather odd. Saves me the hassle of trying to ship him back
I agree that this piece is underrated, but I think that's largely because fans of the film or Tim Curry may not necessarily look to collect memoribilia, not to this degree. I collect some of SSC's Star Wars line and found this one day while browsing their other products.
I'm loving this piece, I'm a big fan of the film as well, glad it's getting some recognition. The sculpt is terrific, I think it's one of SSC's best. The outfit is fantastic too. I'm hoping they produce a PF Jack and Lily to complement this piece!

I think the directors cut is overall a better version of the film... not having that Tangerine Dream soundtrack is a big plus in my book.

The key to enjoying Legend,IMO, is seeing it a child. When I saw it as a kid when it was originally released I loved it. It is very much a Disney type movie, in live action. Its got a definite fairy tale feel to it, and I can imagine if you see this movie for the 1st time as an adult you will view it in a completely different way.
That said, Legend is one of my very favorite movies of all time, and I do enjoy the directors cut better. The score is 1,000 times better.

Yeah, Goldsmith is going to trump Tangerine Cream everyday of the week. Those guys are biscuits in my book!
And it really is a great movie, but it needs to be viewed w/in a certain context for it to make sense.

Hmmm, that’s very strange I have a regular one and the edges on mine are perfect, not frayed, and no holes.
