I personally wouldn't go that far, but for this character...hell yes! Kirby's a God in the field of comics. His work will live on. I love his classic costume designs for the characters he created. However, I do like some characters he created with a more modern take better. One of the biggest sticking points for me is the Hulk. So many peeps love the Kirby Hulk. I'm not one of them. Peeps point at the original Hulk PF and say 'classic Kirby Hulk, it's a grail.' However, the only classic Kirby element to that PF is the head sculpt. Kirby drew a much smaller looking Hulk. His Hulk only had 4 fingers as well. That's one of the characters that Kirby created where I much prefer a modern take. Hopefully, one day SSC will release a modern raging green Hulk. I've been patiently waiting for one.
As far as this Darkseid PF is concerned, I'll happily take it the way it's sculpted and scaled. I just hope QC holds up on this piece. That's probably the only thing that can end up disappointing me.
