Any updates on the Ripley sculpt Darren ?

I've asked Darren to focus on his wedding and honeymoon for now and not worry about Ripley until after his honeymoon. I don't mind waiting, and don't want him stressing out over my Ripley during his honeymoon!!

I have to apologise, I've really neglected this place the last couple of weeks... I've got a bunch of private messages waiting for me to answer (I'll do them first thing tomorrow hopefully), and all these comments here in this thread.

I didn't realise just how busy things would get during the last few weeks leading up to the wedding/honeymoon.... we keep remembering things that we need to do, or organise, or make, or research... and usually a lot of that falls to me simply because I'm not working in a hospital like Jane is... so I end up doing a lot of this stuff. Added to that I'm getting more emails than ever since I told people I was stopping taking new orders after the 20th, lol... so I spend quite a lot of my time doing that too. So if you take all that, and add the fact that I have to take constant breaks to avoid triggering my stress-related epilepsy/bouts of confusion/forgetting where I am/what I'm doing.... (been like this for years now... Just never really talk about it). .... then you end up with things piling up and me forgetting to answer my messages here. Sorry.

All of this means I have less time for actual painting/sculpting, or coming on here. And that is really annoying, trust me. Thankfully once this wedding thing is all over... I'll have nothing to do but paint and sculpt. And that will be a nice feeling!

Well the good news is that I just realised that the two figures of mine that I just sold to fund the honeymoon (Ben and Luke) went to a board member from here ...so that makes me feel a little better about letting them go. I know they'll be looked after.

Chapuchi - I've sent you an email. Both me and Jane appreciate that hugely!!! Trust me, it will go towards something great!

guys.... you can make a 'want' list if you like, in fact, i like the idea.... BUT.... I have to temper this with a dose of sensibleness. I've probably got about 12 month's worth of stuff to do for people as it is. So it's unlikey I'd be able to get to anything anytime soon. But you never know.... so talk away

well here's the latest (and final) casualty of the honeymoon fundraiser (not only do I not have enough time to sell anything else.... but after Anakin, Obi-Wan, Aragorn, Legolas, Ben Kenobi and Jedi Luke.... I simply don't have any more custom figures to sell. After this they've all gone!)

well... I wouldn't have predicted that. Out of all the figures I've sold, this one hit it's reserve in less than an hour! The others usually took a good few days to get there.

Just goes to show you can't predict things.

thanks Ian. Oh you have no idea about how hectic things are here, lol. Less than two weeks to go now... but thankfully we seem to have most of the main elements sorted out. Just the (millions of) small details to finish now.

There's also the honeymoon to plan (route, things to see etc) so we're trying to fit that in also. I've just had NO time to paint or anything these past weeks, so in a way I'll be glad when we're back.

But the excitement about the wedding, and the road trip across America overcomes all of that. Man, we can't wait!

For those who want to read about our trip, as we post about it every few days I've made an email subscribe thing similar to on my regular site... so people can be notified whenever we've made a new post.

Hopefully it will make an interesting read as we travel across the country. I might put up a few pics here and there if we get the time.
