Nothing you all haven't seen before. This is just one of several Arnie heads I've finished up recently (some still working on). I still like painting this head! This will be going on one of the last few Terminator figures I'll be doing for people. Will probably end up upgrading my own Terminator figure at some point with a new head as I'm painting these so much better now I think.

Hey Darren, always love seeing your work! :rock

Just wondering if you're still working on that AMAZING Hudson sculpt you've been on and off with for the last little while...I still REALLY want to get my hands on one of those. :D

incredible :rock i never get tired of seeing your work on this head. very impressive indeed. :clap

Same here! I know it might be a pain to go take the photos, upload them and then post them but I really appreciate it when you do (although it does make me wish I had more repaints by you instead of the standard production stuff).

Thanks for responding to the email too!

thanks guys, kind as always :bow

oh my god it's so weird you typing that now. I decided about 2 hours ago that I'm going to email the guy who initially commissioned me to do it a long (too long) time ago over the weekend or on monday. (in fact I might do it after this post if the wife doesn't get home from work before I finish)

When I started doing that resculpt I was basically a beginner (I still am now of course... but then I was a real beginner). Sculpting with different tools, different materials and a very limited set of skills. A very haphazard approach to resculpts. But since I completed my latest (still can't tell anyone about it yet, so don't ask lol) secret project that I was working on in the evenings... the difference in my sculpting ability between now and then is night and day.

I'm going to shoot him an email to let him know that I'll be making a wax copy of the head (that you've probably seen in this thread) that I'd done so far, probably next week in fact... and I'll be finishing it in wax, instead of Milliput and a dremel. This basically means I can get more detail, more accurate shapes... and more importantly means I'll be able to rescupt the horrible horrible eyes that were on that initial head I was working from.

(At the time I didn't know if I could sculpt eyes or not!)

So the answer to your weirdly well timed question .. is yes :lol

Don't mention it Daryl, I know people always like to see things as they come off the production line (my desk lol), so I try to whenever I can. Not every single one, because there are lots of repeat heads... but once in a while I'll decide to.

I love to see stuff that other people have painted or sculpted, so I know exactly how it feels

HAHA! I must be clairvoyant Darren. :D

That's great news about the Hudson head. I've been excited about this for YEARS!!!

I will be watching with GREAT interest. :rock :rock :rock

Haven't had any time to work on the Ripley (first film) custom yet, sorry.

Here's some pics I'm throwing up quickly before I finish for the day of a Ripley upgrade I've done for somebody on here. The legs have been extended by about a centimetre, the leather jacket has been paint-weathered, as have the guns/scanners etc. Just some subtle silver edges and stuff to give the impression of paint wearing off.

Oh, and it's had the new head... obviously.

Hope this looks ok :bow

Looks great! Really puts the non custom one to shame too.

It's probably hard to get the full appreciation of the subtle stuff you did on the gun from a picture but I'm loving the little bit of touch up that I can see.
