I tested it with the dual blades and it fits at an angle. I chose the single blade due to how I wanted him to face. Sorry no pics as I already put everything away.

I would never display maul in any scale with a single lit blade. For me has to be both lit or the unlit staff.

So glad that I ordered this version. Even though I got the collector edition I don't feel like I have missed out. The dual saber is Darth maul.... and Darth maul is the dual saber
