Wait are they shipping Talon already? I just got on the waitlist for the exclusive version and am wondering if I should cancel and just go for the regular one since 1,500 of those are being made which would make a better chance for a conversion.

I went on the WL for the Reg version earlier this week, and my WL converted within a day.

I don't collect a lot of statues, but I have the Sideshow Maul 1:1 bust and Maul PF. This will be a very nice addition to my collection. I did pass on the exclusive because this is one of those cases where I believe less is more.

A good point well made, It's just frustrating when such a nice item is dismissed as being nothing more than a cash-in on randy Star Wars fans rampant hormones. The work Sideshow have put into it deserves more than that.

You'd be wrong to assume that "randy" fans don't make up a chunk of the statue fan base.
These pieces are meant to attract them too.

i really couldn't care less what others say about a collectible i like. if i like it, and can afford it, i buy it. no justification required. it's quite simple, actually.

but u are right about giving the artists more credit/respect, regardless of the relevance of a piece. if it is well made, it deserves acclaim.

I would think there is a good chance your WL will convert. Now that SS is sending out notices that Talon is shipping there will be credit card declines and folks making last minute decisions not to purchase this piece.

Go for the regular, I have been on the waitlist for the EX for months and still no convertion. I think it might but I only have a few weeks left until my regular ships.

I think with a little bit of dexterity it should be possible to make his own cape for the lady. Although i think both the Ex and the Reg will rise in the value the next month, when it's out. That's my opinion.

Okay, I have a stupit (misspelling intentional) question.

I am supposed to remove the ribbon ties around her legs and feet, right? And take out those little black block things between her feet and legs? I have done things like that before on statues and such then found out I have pulled off pieces of the costume. Someone in the know please confirm.

Had mine shipped to work, and I took a few minutes to make sure nothing was broken, and this piece looks phenomenal. EU content or not, the sculpt looks great, especially the face, the paint op on the metal parts of her leg guards, the stiff material with wires for the cloak, down to the tattoo carve lines being painted in very cleanly. I give this piece a 10/10 and can't help but think it's a sleeper hit in the long run.

Will do my best to get some photos up tonight if possible.

Mine showed up at work today - it's a beautiful statue. All my work buddies were lovin it too, they wanted me to leave it setup at the office. I said "naw, this _____ is going home with me"
