Darth Talon Premium Format

The prototype cape should be finished later tonight; she picked a very dark sheer and I think it was a great choice because it has the dark Sith look, yet is sheer enough to still be sexy. She also bought some fancy cord for the neck.

Right now she is experimenting with the wire and is having some issues since the fabric is not as thick as the Grievous fabric and sheer fabric cannot be ironed.

My Luke PF has been her test dummy since I down own Talon.

VERY rough prototype...she is still playing with ways to get the wire in at the bottom without ironing and she hasn't added the cord for the neck. She was out of black thread so she is using grey; the ones she sends to people will be black. Before she takes orders, we are going to send the prototype to a certain member to see how it looks since I don't have Talon.

As of right now, the hood and cloak are the exact measurements of the EX cloak.

Prototype cape is finished with a wire the bottom and about 1/4 inch up the side. She decided to NOT put a clasp on it because she would have to make the neck area of the cloak more U shaped which doesn't follow the original EX design and would look silly if her hood isn't pulled up.

We understand why Sideshow didn't put a wire in it. Because the sheer fabric is so soft/flexible and the design is a 3/4 circle at the base, the wire makes it 'poof' out at the bottom. She is going to try the thinnest jewelry wire they sell, but she is going to make the wire optional on orders. Personally, I do NOT like the wire in it.

Before she takes actual orders, she is mailing the prototype to another member to take pictures of it on Talon (I don't own Talon).

Here are the photos. I messed with the wire a bit to see if it looks any different. You guys can give feedback regarding the way it looks. I will take it out and post pictures as well, but mostly it will drape similar to the EX version.

I really like it! I would have preferred the clasp as opposed to a tie, but it still looks really good.

The problem with a clasp is that the neck would need to be modified to be more oval which may cause issues with Talon's large head; she would need to make two separate patterns. Since I don't own Talon in person, I don't know how many problems will arise trying to put the hood up with a clasp and her tentacles.

She is going to take the wire out and post pictures without it so yOu guys can decide.

This is Kibishii's wife, Christina.

Kibishii said he was receiving lots of messages regarding interest in this custom and the Shredder and Grievous and asked that I make an account to help streamline the info.

I added a clasp to the Talon Cloak, the pictures are shown below. It is obviously much closer around the neckline and cannot be adjusted the way the cord can be. But its up to you which look you like better. You can also decide whether or not you want a wire in the bottom. A thinner wire may be more attractive. I'm sending out a prototype and will wait for feedback before I decide which wire to use and finalizing a price after figuring time involved/materials/shipping.

*A side note, with the pictures being taken on Luke, I think I could alter the pattern and fabric and make a Jedi Luke Cloak if you are interested let me know.

I can't see using a cape with the hood up due to Talon's lekku. I can't wait to see this cape on Talon, looks great!

Yeah, she has a tiny bit of the old Sideshow lazy eye, but I still love her.

Lack of supply mostly. I just lucked out when i picked Talon up since I never bought anything made by sideshow before. She got me into the whole 1/4 PF craze! It's odd though. I have Asajj Ventress Reg pf that I was able to snatch up around the same time last year for cheap and I never see her on ebay since then. Makes you wonder why Talon keeps popping up when she is the more popular character. I think it's just people trying to flip her since she went up a good amount. Compared to when she was released. IMO Talon is the best Star Wars PF so far. I was really disappointed when I discovered the pf line for star wars and saw all the major characters. Darth Vader and Grievous are the only ones I like; unfortunately they go for way to much now.

I managed to buy mine (non EX) earlier this year for under $300 and I typically search SW PF's every day looking for deals to expand the collection. I couldn't believe some were asking $800+ for her now. So far I only have Talon, Boba, and the Clone PF (EX) but I like what SSC keeps offering up.

I can put the wire in NO problem, I used the same wire that I use on the heavy Grievous cloak which was too heavy for the super-thin Talon cloak. I will try the thinner jewelry wire and it will look better. I am looking forward to another member getting the prototype and posting pictures on Talon so we know what it looks like on her.
