I was watching that auction, but forgot about it this afternoon.
I don't like to bid on anything that hasn't been opened. I'm sure the seller bought it directly from Sideshow, but there's just too much to this piece that could be damaged or scuffed to try and snag an exclusive off eBay.

Generally, I would 100% agree. However, this isn't one of those boxes you can be in and out of in two minutes or less like most other statues. Also, it appears like the packaging is built to be treated poorly by FedEx and so on.
It's been taking people approx 30 minutes just to unpack the piece.
I wonder if all those packing materials reusable.

Yeah, this is one statue you probably can't easily open and look at, but from some of the problems posted on here, I'd only feel comfortable buying this directly from Sideshow even if it isn't the exclusive.
