Yep, I would not feel comfortable repacking this item... and really wonder what I'll do the next time I move. The packaging really feels like it was made for a one way trip.

BTW, here's the comparison shots between my two Anakin portraits. The new one is on the right... and just has a much more lifelike paint application IMO.

Great replacement. While I would have been pleased with either head, I would have preferred the right one as well. Did you feel your original face paint application was defective? In all honesty, I'm surprised SS sent you a new head as the first doesn't appear "defective", so to speak, at least not in the general sense of the term.

How long it takes for them to ship out the replacement to you from the time you submitted the request?
I submitted the request form, got the email asking for photos. replied and I have been waiting for a week ever since. Havn't get any email with shipping notice neither.

My mask is also warpped. It doesn't sits on the lower part flat and firmly. it shows a little off when place it on the stand, it tilts a little to the left, doesn't line up. It bugs me a lot!

There was a small chip on the nose... nothing major, but it bugged me and not something I wanted to let slide on a piece like this.

But the new paint job is much better, which makes me wonder if they might have left a clear-coat/sealer off of mine?

I think the whole process was about 2 weeks...

Jeez, with the problems board members have been mentioned about this piece, I better unpack and inspect this bust rather than wait for the perfect display space to open up.

Does any member think they will run out of replacement face sculpts in the interim?

I'm going to go out on a limb and say they are fixing and repainting the defective heads. This is probably why the replacement heads have better/different paint jobs. Just my guess though.

That may eventually happen (I would guess mine will be repaired as the paint wear is minimal), but I know I had to wait for mine and it sounded like Sideshow was awaiting the arrival of replacement parts from overseas.

Oh and for those of you wanting specific timelines... I contacted CS on April 15th and my replacement head arrived on April 29th. So two weeks.

Just got my replacement shoulders in! First set had a big chip by the name plate (looked like it moved out of the styrofoam during shipping) all I can say is AMAZING

how are the eyes on your new head... by that I mean are both eyes looking in the same direction. My bust has the eyes looking in different directions & I'm thinking of having it replaced.

The eyes are nearly identcal on both... maybe a slight lazy eye, but both are looking in the same direction.

Thanx for the info... sometimes it's hard to tell from the pics. Guess I'll look into getting a replacement. Maybe I'll get lucky like you & receive a better paint job too:vader
