Not to crush your dreams, but I'm not surprised it hasn't yet. For having to drop $250 the instant you place your order, pretty much everyone that preorders this bust isn't going to cancel until he's right about to ship and they're dead certain they can't afford this thing. The positive aspect of the deposit is it thins down who preorders to people very committed to getting it, no one's going to just casually drop $250, if you spent that up front you're determined to get this thing and only an unplanned change of circumstances that means you can't pay the rest is really going to change you getting it, that or the final product turning out poorly and in either case, cancellations won't come until like 30 day notices for shipping. Maybe a few from Flex Pay if they can't afford to make one of the payments and have to back out.

I received E/mail confirmation that my deposit has been taken. Only a 6 month wait to go now.

Have to agree with you there... I know I certainly don't want to loose my $250 deposit.

The only way I'll cancel is if something prevents me from switching over to FP or just paying it off when time comes for him to ship. I made sure I was locked into getting this before I hit that order placed, and I'm sure everyone else going through a site with a deposit requirement is doing so too.

Maybe not everyone - my waitlist for the exclusive started converting yesterday.

And what did you ask them?
I asked about shipping costs just as it says on the product page. And I wanted to know if this will really ship from the EU warehouse (I know there is a EU flag on the site, but that wouldn't be Sideshow's first mistake on product info ;)). Because if this is sent directly from the US I would have to pay more on customs and VAT + I would have to pick it up from the customs office. Which would cost me even more money AND is a huge pita (the box will be gigantic) because I don't own a car.

You could have called, if you didn't already
I'm from Germany so I used the helpdesk form that is linked on the product page. In my business customers expect me to answer mails within 2 regular working days. I asked SS 2 weeks ago.

I know my cancellation won't hurt them because this is very limited and waitlisted, but I wasn't satisfied with their lack of communication so I cancelled.

Still - someone else, not on the waitlist, who had already paid the deposit had
to have cancelled.

Not necessarily, there could be system issues and the computer miscounted orders or something and few slots remained opened when they did a full count. I can't imagine someone so quickly giving up the $250 once it's paid, I'd ride it out until the last minute.

Not sure whose question it was, but good effort. I'm always surprised to see questions answered like this, always seems like you may as well not have answered it.

September 30th Q&A

ince the exclusive stand for the 1:1 Vader bust is still in development, is their any chance it could be modified to include an extra neck piece. I think that if one were able to display a full mask next to the Anakin portrait it would make the display that much more impressive!

The concept of the separate display stand has been revealed on its product page, and stay tuned for updated photos to be posted soon! The final intention is to allow the collector to display both the dome AND the face mask on the same stand, so you can ultimately display all pieces of the Vader bust together at once, including the Anakin portrait, face mask and dome.

I'm still keeping the faith. The second sentence seems to not understand the point in the question though, which is to accomplish that but having the extra piece that makes it a full second bust and not just the pieces.

No matter what it is, I'm eager to see the final stand design, and excited about this piece still. It's fallen off the map a bit since SDCC, but it's tops on my preorder list.

The pics in the latest catalog will certainly bring it back into people's minds.

:lecture

Kickass... that was my question :rock :rock I asked it around the same time I started the neck piece thread.

But yeah, sounds like they didn't really change anything :monkey2 Guess worse case scenario someone out there might be able to customize something together.
