Well, considering that Iron Man Mark 3 was $700 and Mark 2 $800 and Vader is $1200, I would imagine even extra care will go into QC assurance because if there were a fiasco, that's quite a bit of money to eat on returns, and I agree, for the money, I'll go through exchanges and if that doesn't resolve things, finally just return it for the money, for $1200, defects can't be accepted.

UUUUUUuuu have not read the Iron Child 1:2 thread :rotfl

Briefly, it seemed like he shipped without issues, are there QC problems?

$2,000.00 worth of SS $$$, I understand it's not a bust yada yada but they don't care how much $$$ we dump on this QC is gonna be the same. Plus who knows this could be the handler delivering but I honestly think Vader is more fragile than this guy.

Well, something like that can happen, but I would imagine more isolated.

What I'm talking about is like paint flaking QC issues like the Mark 3 bust seemed to have, it seemed like a widespread issue over the production line. I'm saying they'll probably take extra care to avoid issues like that, breaks like you posted can happen because of a shipper or a wreckless factory worker packing it in the box but isn't necessarily indicative of a production run issue like flaking paint.

Yea I knew that would be your answer... Kewl  :lol

I'm sure SS will take care of us, if any issues happens with the bust though, I wouldn't be worried. Not saying u are worried BTW. Geez I have to cover my arse here anymore :lol

There's definitely a big dent/crease on the right side of the box. Either the styrofoam is weak or someone really did a number on that box.

Damn... that hurts to see. Like I said earlier I'm confident that the Bust will be good, but if not I have no problem returning it. No way I'll pay $1290 (with shipping) on anything less than a solid piece.

Yes, but I'd expect a giant gouge to do that kind of damage. Usually something like that would just result in creases to the box, not a severed arm.

I just wonder why there's not much support or stryo around pressure points such as these so it CAN take a impact and not snap like a twig?

My experience with Sideshow packing, parts are protected. My guess is that the arm was either fully broken at the factory or break started at the factory and the motion of transport from factory to owner finished it off. I can't see anyway for basic motion in a box to snap it like that, it had to be weak somehow to begin with or like I said, already broke at the factory.

Think you got it Ski, I have had a few pieces come from Sideshow without any outer damages to the shipping box and they were broken/snapped like that.

Even the movement of a piece during shipping can cause breakage, if there is too much wiggle room.

So that being sad I hope that QC steps it up a notch, otherwise some we might have some rough or detached Vader helmets, either way we are covered though, I just hope it's not within everyones first batch or at least it comes MINT on the first try. Such a hassle, especially with something of these sizes.

Solid, solid; or solid like a nice piece, solid - Iron Man sure isn't "solid, solid." :D :horror

Hey Spacefiguren, how about the rest of the video? WTF?

That is not the exclusive version. The Item # on the box is 2973. The ex would be 29731. I also noticed there is no edition # writen on the box. I wonder if the Ex will be numbered and if it is i wonder if the ed # will be marked on the extra stand.
