In terms of saving space, I like the shoulder tilt, but I wish the head was rotatable like Fett so you could choose which way to face him. I like Maul being straight so I can angle him however works best for the display, ones like Palpatine sort of predetermine what you do with them because they're fixed looking one way. I especially think this because Vader and Palps are the same pose, but it would have been cool to form a V out of the two busts sort of being back to back, but can't do that.

I already talked to people on some customizer forums including RPF and there are some guys interested in making these stands. Russ (RB Replicas) also said he may be able to make this stand of solid aluminum, I already have some Terminator prop replicas from him and the are AWESOME.

Personally I'm going to display my Vader with his mask on, so Sebastian Shaw will go in the box.

Hey would you mind sending or posting a link to this thread?? I'm not a member on the RPF so is there any chance we can keep up with information on this??? I'd be interested in getting on a list if people were gonna get some made.

Probably shouldn't have abbreviated SF, just felt too lazy to type Statue Forum :lol

This is the particular image I was referring to.

Vader seems like nearly a foot taller than the others.

:eek Definitely the perfect "top-of-the-detolf" piece for my SW helmets. I will get one

that's one hell of a bust. I wanted it but unfortunately i passed.

I am curious to see comparison pics...Sideshow Vader bust vs Master Replicas

I think the regular release will not have a edition size... so they'll probably be making them for a long while. At least while people are still willing to buy.

What do you guys think about a modified paper towel holder as a stand? That back part looks adjustable, so it might be able to add some extra support to the back of Vader's helmet.

You'd have to have the bust to know how heavy things are and hear from people with the stand, how the pieces fit on. I think without at least having the bust in hand, trying to figure out a stand for it will be tricky, without knowing the weight of the parts and all.

Hopefully some good stands will be created before I get Vader since I probably don't have any creative skills on modifying my own.

Since I just ordered my Vader on FLEX, it'll be a few months down the road before I actually get him. :(

I'll probably end up converting to Flex, depending on when the Ex. finally ships, but doesn't bother me, I'd rather get him 3 months after everyone else than not at all.

As for the stand, I'm sure someone is bound to craft a bottom piece of mask to act as base for the rest so you can get a full Vader helm display in addtion to the bust, like if you put the MR Vader helm on display next to the Sideshow bust and stored the bust dome and mask away.

Now that would be the coolest stand! I'd be all over something like that.

I'm sure someone will even customize a lower mask bit to turn the top pieces into a wearable mask, depends on if the interior of the face plate can comfortable accommodate a person's head.

I kind of wish I had a 1:1 saber replica to go with this. Ordinarily I'm not big on the idea of pairing the busts with weapons, but in a display of this bust with the helmet off, I think it's different because it wouldn't so much look like random bits on display next to it, but more as if Vader took off his mask and saber for a moment in his meditation chamber, I think the mask pieces beside it would give a saber replica more context than just a bust.

We'll have to keep an eye on the rpf forum for a custom like that... I do hope somebody will make a bottom piece of mask to display the full helmet next to the Vader Reveal.

There is some logic to Sideshow not making the effort to redesign the stand or have designed it in the first place to have the bottom of the mask. If I were designing it all, I wouldn't necessarily think to because putting a fully assembled mask next to a bust where in theory, part of that mask is on the bust would look strange. If they had changed the stand, I'd probably have displayed the helmet somewhere away from the bust to have it be like 2 pieces, where with the actual design, you can display it all together and make sense.
