Dunno of this pic is new. But it's today's "announcement".

I had the helmet repainted some time ago, so the orange blob is gone. I think the orange was OK on the figure itself, but on the helmet it looked just plain ugly.

I like the orange, but at least from pictures, looks like it went from subtle to traffic cone, so I can see why it didnt sit well with everyone.

I like it too, just not on the production piece. They did a decent job with the glow on Sauron, but went a bit overboard with Vader. I ended up sending mine back.

Is there no way the Mythos Vader fits into the Billy bookcase ?? ( Depth: 11 " Height: 79 1/2 " Width: 31 1/2 )

Seems Obi Wan will be okay...my Vader will be arriving soon and I had planned to get the Billy and slap on Morliden glass doors; looking at the specs on Sideshow's website seems like Vader ( 12" W (304.8mm) x 11" L) MIGHT be a problem. Are this specs accurate?

Anyone been able to angle him nicely in a way that works? I wanted to display both Kenobi and Vader on one shelf

Vader isn't as deep as Obi-Wan, so I think that would work. I'm amazed Obi-Wan would fit, since he takes up a lot more space in my Besta than Vader.

Even with the arm holding his helmet, it's not as deep as Kenobi?

that all depends on which way you face him. I have Obi-Wan facing front, and his poncho/cape is then flowing to the right (for the viewer) and takes up an aweful lot of space. I have Vader facing left (for the viewer), and his cape is then also going that direction.

I received my Vader Mythos a couple of weeks ago and I took a few pictures of it
I personally love the statue and think it is just awesome.
I would like to get your opinion about the painting on it.
I think it is well done over all, might be a little overdone in some part or angle

I think it looks great :)
Yeah, the angle of that last pic makes it look more orange, but in person a change in perspective shows off more of the black parts of the suit. The question that matters is, do you like it?

Loving mine still, by the way... Little bit pissed that my niece knocked the head off of him when she was here a few weeks ago... :gah: I think she wanted to turn the head and obviously it's only attached by the magnet. So it dropped and bounced off the table I've got it on, as she looked on in horror. Made the tiniest chip in the left ear that I'm not happy about (was a flawless piece before), but at least the material underneath is the same kinda brownish grey as the rest of his face.

Wow, thanks for the pics. I was in love with this statue and looking at all the pics on Sideshows website it looked awesome, now that I have seen some in hand photos I am really not liking that orange at all unfortunately, probably a deal breaker. SSC photos and in hand photos are like a night and day difference to me.

Glad you guys like it though :)

I think it looks great especially your first two pics where it looks a bit more toned down (the orange). I imagine your camera may be exaggerating the hues and contrast a bit and actually looks better in person. Regardless, looks awesome imo can't wait for mine

I've always liked the overspray. The one area I think they went a bit heavy on is the helmet. I think I will eventually try to track someone down to tone down the helmet on mine, but overall I think he looks great.

I absolutely love mine. Its by far the most unique Vader statue I have ever seen. It has so many display options and all of them look awesome. Paint job is awesome too. A lot of pics, especially with flash, make this look much brighter and yellow than it actually is.

:exactly: So true. Flash is a no-no when taking pics of this one.
