Hipster Joker...

I think this is different and I'm sure people will be more forgiving depending on how Leto's Joker turns out in the flick. Additionally, if we see the character in subsequent movies, I'm sure we'll see a variety of outfits and even some that will resemble the more 'classic' Joker look.

He doesn't look like a pimp, imo. Letoker's costume looks familiar, like I've seen it before, but I can't think of who dresses like that. It's probably a musician.

Well, the coat and cane aren't new or unique to this Joker. 70's Joker looked more like a traditional pimp, I guess. Letoker kind of remind me of the LMFAO guys.

He looks nothing like the LMFAO guys, and you must be the only one who remembers those guys. If anything he looks like a purple Marilyn Manson with a mix of some rapper, who incidentally, also dress like pimps.

70's Joker never came across as a pimp to me, he was always a cross of clown and ringmaster.
