Yes it was very subtle, because in MGS2 it wasn't an iconic line yet. And what's the point of Sutherland giving Big Boss a new persona if he keeps going by Snake and using Snake's lines?

That's what pisses me off so much about Kojima, retroactively undermines Snake's entire persona... implants it on Big Boss and Snake is made out to be the copycat.
