I don't care if it sells out or not. I don't care if it's open ES or not.

I just don't want worm flames on an otherwise amazing sculpt (which may be keeping it from selling out quicker) and I had to give Spidey a hard time.

Yes and the EX head could be two amazing heads. But instead the EX head will sit in the Box of most who buy this. At least it seems that way going by the poll here and at SF. I know there are more people out there getting this then just us But that is how all polls work. It's just a sample and I am guessing any fans that are willing to shell out 400.00 for this bad boy probably fit in with the almost 80% of people here who don't like it.


Perhaps it will look better in person. But I sort of doubt it. Flames coming out of a eyeless head just does not scream Superman.

I am not telling anyone not to like it. It's just disapointing because I really believe we all would have been happy if it was just painted red eyes.

I should also state that the Reg head (while a great sculpt) is looking up. Superman is the type of statue that should be displayed higher. But by having him look up the Reg head will be hard to see if the shelf he is on is anywhere near eye level. The Ex head would look perfect.

Now Polls can be full of it. But I would think that this board makes up a good representation of the average high end collector. So I would say the Superman poll is probably not that far off.

Ya know what is funny. I hav never been that guy who has harped on a piece like this. If I don't like something I will comment on it a few times and then be on my way. I think with this piece it's just that SSC is sooooooo close to having such a great major bad *** looking superman with the EX head that I hate to se them mess it up. I don't hate the EX head. I love everything about it. Except for those goofy looking eyes. So close Sideshow...So close.

I also like to display my statues on near eye level shelves. Superman should be up high. But with his reg head looking up it will be very hard to see the great detail of the Reg sculpt face. The EX head is perfect for higher display.

Even if I get this EX head and it looks better in person it will still be something that never gets displayed. I can't think of a single time in the comics that Superman had his eyes ripped out and flames came bursting threw the sockets.
