Looks like we are getting some new photos according to SSC ALEX over at SF

I considered the 360 VTRs and High Res photos to be fairly significant help in making an educated purchase on these things.
And I would much rather have those than have photos with dramatic (and phoney) mood lighting and (more phoney) fantasy backgrounds and foregrounds photoshopped in.

The former tend to be more warts and all revealing, while the latter tends to obfuscate just what exactly is going to be there when you open the box.
And cynically I have to wonder if that is why the shift away from one to the other.

Very true. I can see SS shift away from this and more into the photoshopped backgrounds to help sell a fictional image. I don't mind some creativity with the shots, but sometimes it's just too much. The 360 was a nice option for those of us who wanted to view the product in its entirety and make our decision from that.

Oh I agree. I miss the High Res photos and the 360s. I disagree that people didn't use them. I have to say I think I viewd the 360 about 100 times for Batman. It really helped me be confident in pulling the trigger.

Yes. I added myself to a wait list yesterday. It clearly says you will only get charged an NRD if you convert when you confirm your purchase desire.
