Thanks all. Superman means a lot to us....even though he's a huge iron man fan. He was diagnosed at four years old and we were rushed to a specialist neuro oncology unit at a hospital in a nearby city. That night a friend in the US sent me an image of an Alex Ross Superman and quoted the Reeve thing about Hope. Since then, the big S has become our symbol of hope. Even last week when we were told about the new surgery and proton therapy, when we got home I had the shipping confirmation for this. I know it sounds dumb or crazy but it gives us something to aspire to and has helped us cope or bond over all of this stuff going on...just think, there are people out there thinking they are just statues or figures...

Mine showed up today, US to UK in less than a week with Easter weekend in there. No real negatives, even the noodle eyes and hayfever eyes look better in person than in pics.
The suit, the physique, the paint apps, the pose...all stunning. My one teeny moan is getting the cape on without it rubbing on the neck, it's a little tricky and left a couple of "crayon marks" but these wiped off.
Oh yeah, I put the red eyes in all the way on the EX head, careful use of a sewing needle with see them out again...

thanks to all that have posted Pics, Fantastic to hear everyone loves it! as far as the Ex. head, i know i dont have him in hand yet but with every new pic posted i find my self loving the Reg head more and more, even the position of his body looks to flow more with the reg head!

cant wait to get him, hoping he fits in my new besta without having to lower the shelf!

To Jimbits76, i truly wish you all the best with your sons treatment and things work out 100% in your favour, i recently just had a son who just turned 2 and i am having a blast with him! best thing thats ever happened to me!

Here are the instrux that come with it explaining how to attach the cape. As its mentioned before, be extremely careful with it and use a cloth of some sort so you don't rub the red paint onto the head.

Here is the answer from SSC on my inquiry about my figure and the controversial questions about flex payers vs paying in full:

Sideshow : the Superman Premium Format figure will be arriving in waves and we are fulfilling orders by date order placed
me: okay so it's not based whether I'm a flex payer or not ?

Sideshow : with the flexpay orders, we tried to keep final payments on schedule as much as possible, but we can only receive so many statues per shipment
it is a very large shipping box

me: Well I placed my order on day one upon availability and it seems that other people are getting theirs ahead of me-flex payers actually.

Sideshow : we have tried to keep as many of the flexpay orders on schedule as possible. The orders have been charged all along , you see
they have paid quite a bit of money towards their statue already

Seems like double talk to me- first it's based on when you order, according to the rep, and then the music changes and it's based on flex payers making payments all along. Whatever. I guess it will come when it comes!
