More leaning.

attachment.php

His legs like they are planted fine there. Looks as though its his torso that is jacked up.

Looks like their leaning at their knees/thighs, seems to be a week spot there. They should really run a rod through the entire body instead of a 2" rod that's only in his foot/ankle area...

That lean is unforgivable on Sideshow's part. It's not a matter of pads underneath the base; there's something inherently wrong with the design.

And sadly, my Harley is leaning back like that one in the pic.

I've seen pictures of four Superman PFs with some sort of lean and hundreds without it. Pretty difficult to say the design is inherently flawwd when theres 2500 EXs and thousands more regs and we've seen so very few with a problem.

how could harley be leaning? i had that pf and ended up returning it because it had no weight to it. it felt like i cheep toy to me. if it's leaning then there is no metal in it at all and it's made of some kind of weak plaster or something.

This Supes above seems to be broken at the hip. It might be due to the weight of the cape as much as to a production flaw on the statue itself.

I doubt, actually, that this kind of leaning might be due to the cape alone. The structure of the statue must have been weak.

Numbers are all relative of course. My brother bought the Superman PF as did I. His started leaning something fierce, and still hasn't recovered. Mine I re-boxed not long after displaying. So my personal experience is clocking 50%. But given the tremendous weight of the cape on one side, I really wouldn't trust mine to not lean over time either.

With this and the Batman PF I'm afraid to go with any other cape because it seems like the original capes are necessary to counter balance the statue.

My batman and superman statues are perfectly balanced with no capes, they only become slightly unstable with the sculpted capes on.

I fixed my batman by removing the padded footies, and cutting a piece of double thick felt to the size of the bottom of the base.

I have a cloth cape on my Superman but mainly to save space as his cape takes up a ton of room to one side. Both my Batman PFs have the regular capes and are fine, no instability as I added another felt pad underneath because the orignal pads were placed oddly which caused it to be slightly unstable.

I really want the batman leather cape from Dan. How about you?

I want to make one with wire in it so I can pose it!

The cape looks good with flowing, but the weight could be problematic in the long run somehow.
