It looks nice! It seems the match the color of the trunks. I always thought it was a shame the boots, the cape and the shield were the same dark red with the shorts the only bright red. Plus I think he looks more "realistic" with a cloth cape.
Thanks! Yeah the material I used was lycra, so it's pretty much exactly the same material and colour as the trunks. I actually prefer the cloth look to the plastic cape.It looks nice! Yeah it was either change the cape or watch as the statue eventually warped itself into worthlessness. I'm in a hot environment and that plastic cape was just too bloody heavy. Glad I took action when I did.Nice cape. Still stand by the way the cloth cape sits on the shoulders. Too much trap. Nice to have options but original just flows so nicely.

I'm thinking it was the peg on mine, can't be too sure tho. I now have it propped up at the back so that it at least now looks straight.I've never understood, what warps? Is it the peg? I can't imagine that polystone warps, so what is it?
Cheers mate, I love this statue and was starting to dread the thought of coming home and finding it in pieces on the floor after it tipped over hahaCongrats man. Glad you saved a great statue. Looks sweet even with the cloth.
Cape looks fine. However, check the pads on the bottom of your base. It may have flattened over time due to the heavy sculpted cape. This has happened to other collectors here. Once the faulty pad is replaced, the statue looks perfect. Check it out just so you can possibly have some answers or piece of mind as to what's going on with your leaning issue.
That was the first thing I checked, made no difference sadly. As you can see here, I had to use larger pads at the rear of the base just to make Superman look like he's standing straight again. Take those away and the lean is obvious.Cape looks fine. However, check the pads on the bottom of your base. I did not look back at past posts so I'm sure this was previously posted but what replacement pads are people using (and where do you get them?)?
Yeah, the pic that Dan posted is from me and my Superman PF is definitely leaning. But it is due to the pad beneath the base on the cape side. The pad on that side is worn down and compressed by the weight of the cape, causing the left front side of the base to be raised.
A thorough inspection of my piece revealed no warping of the metal rod, peg or the knee area. Both feet sit flush on to the base without any gaps from the weight of the cape. I put in new felt padding around the compressed pad to stabilize the base with all the pads making contact with the pedestal. So it definitely looks more upright. But I think using the thicker, clear vinyl pads will straighten it out even more since it is a lot more durable and doesn't give like the felt pads that I'm using. But we are talking about fractions of a millimetre here. It must be the humid and muggy air here in Singapore.
