Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I agree on the emblem. I don't remember it looking like that on the model sheets, but I could be wrong.

I have 3 on order but if this does come out next week, ill still buy one on person simply cause I won't be able to wait :)

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I kind of dislike the emblem. it's not as oval as in the show but rather round... :/
anything else....
I SO F##KING DA## WANT TO GET THIS GUY!!!!! >w<

oh and hey what are those things at the legs? never notices them on other photos before.

or are these fakes? They should show the figures right the way they are produced and faking them to make them looking better

What things on the legs?

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

He's probably talking about the pins on the prototypes. The production figure won't have the pin holes. Nitpicking that the oval being slightly off is ridiculous considering how much it would have changed in a single episode.

His emblem, just like his face, would change a lot from scene to scene during the show. Crazy.

I just finished rewatching the entire Animated Series (original design) + the lost Sega "episode" and it's crazy how Batman would never looked the same on the show, as far as face and emblem goes.

That's why I don't bother about the emblem. It's great to me.
I was worried about the shade os his colors, but now I'm good.

This!!!!!!!!

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Yeah, the animation was all over the place especially when they used the crappy animation houses. Just strange to me that they settled on the shape for oval. I also don't see it as nitpicking, just an observation. It's ok if these aren't 100% perfect, as I don't expect them to be. I'll still get them all just the same.

I think we just have to wait to have him in hands. Specially after seeing just how much his colors change from photo to photo.
Maybe his emblem isn't as oval as it looks.

Virtually everybody was hating Joker, judging by the promo pics and toy fairs prototype photos.
Turns out he is absolutely gorgeous and spot on in hands.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

September has passed and harley still isn't out. Does anyone know what happened?

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

the face changes are due to the fact that more than 1 person draw the scenes and any person has their own style. even if you try to copy the style 1 by 1, your Batman would have his own touch. Yea even at my arts he looks slightly different because I draw him and not the master in person, Bruce Timm and I really keep the style. You can check it if you don't mind

at least they didn't use this look

xDDDDDDDDDDDD

Just kidding of course.
but to be more serious, yes there are indead scenes/episodes where I didn't like his face. in these scenes/episodes his chin was very striking. I'll try finding shots of it to show what I mean.

Oh and who ever said I am a "he"? xD

HAHAHAHA!!!!

I would have loved to see TAS Batman in a Simpsons ep. But I'm glad with "Bartman" being featured, nonetheless.
Love Bart, love Batman... So all is well.

And I noticed that too! You never said you're a "he". LMAOOOOOOOOOO

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Okay found one. not the best example but the only one I've got so far

not sure if it's clear for every one, I mean this curve (turn? bend?) the chin makes in some scenes.

I get what you mean and agree.
As I said, his face never looks the same, specially his chin and the mask ears.

But that is minimal.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Can somebody please confirm what month TAS Batman is releasing. This month. Next month?

I don't want to miss this release :gah:

My LCS sucks on carrying figures. They don't specialize in this anymore so I have to rely on online ordering.

Well, we're supposed to get TAS Batman, Riddler and the Batmobile this month.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I'm glad to say that it is the lighting of the place and camera flash.

I collected 4 different photos of Batman taken at the New York Toy Fair in February, 2015.

It's crazy how his colors change from photo to photo.

The same figure, same place, but different shots and cameras/flash:

If his colors match the top left (or possibly bottom left) photo, then that would be perfect. I rewatched the part of the video with Robin in it for color hints. The good news is that Robin's yellow is that same highlighter yellow as opposed to his actual yellow/orange. Also, his green looks much lighter than it does for real as well. Fluorescent lighting does weird things on camera. I'm thinking Batman's colors might be ok. We'll all know in 9 days! :)

Top left is IDEAL, aka Batman figure goals. hahaha!

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Just received notification the Penguin has posted! Now where's my Bats, Babs and Harley! I really do hope that I'll be able to get the Batmobile here, on Aussie soil, rather than be sodomised by the postage fairies again...
