Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Yeah, it's the language barrier I think. No worries batmon, I respect the fact that you're posting in English while knowing German.

No, I don't think they would do all 80+ episode variations. :lol I do think they have a couple in mind purely for quick, easy to make figure variations however. My only point is that they won't do head or accessory packs when they can sell a whole figure as an episode specific one. That's all. Sorry for any confusion.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Some photos of the Batmobile have started to pop up on Instagram. Cannot wait to get this beauty!!

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Wow, that Batmobile is stunning. I kind of wish I had the space for it, but I went with Eaglemoss' instead.

Actually, TAS Batman does have cheek lines. They're extremely subtle, but they're there. My brother sent me this photo of his last night. (I'm still waiting on mine) I think, with the proper lighting, he looks really good.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I knew they were there! lol
He looks fantastic under that lighting!

It's sad that there will always be people to nitpick over everything.
They can't see things as a whole, because for them the minor issues will always stand out.

Waiting for the nitpickers of the Batmobile.

I think the thing to remember, though, is that, while they are dedicated to this line, ultimately, their plans extend beyond just TAS. They've said that they want to delve further into the DCAU and while that may not include everyone who collects the TAS line, at the end of the day, they want the people buying these to return to Superman, they want people to get a Batman Beyond to go with their TAS and TNBA stuff, or, even Justice League, if that's what they choose to do first.

Point is that variants may seem great short-term, but, if you're wanting people to be in it for the long haul with some of these shows that have absolutely huge rosters, I think the goodwill that not burning people out on multiple versions of a single character supersedes the potential short term gains that making variants might entail.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Also, apparently, the TNBA Harley Quinn that wasn't allowed to be photographed at SDCC was said to have an alternate head with big bulging eyes. So they may, in fact, do alternate heads.

So True WGB!

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Some of you are asking for too much out of a mass produced $25 toy line. I think that what we've been getting so far has been a pretty good value, if you remember what these are.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

careful with his shoulders when posing, scuffied mine as ball joint slid under chest piece as i raised up arm far, looks like its was molded in a skin colored plastic underneath.

gotta admit im posing the hell out of it and so far thats the only issue in doing so it seems. next to me at cpu while i do some design work but cant put him down now to do so, lol :rotfl

agreed if this was a line by bandai at 50-60 each then yes expect diff heads as a must with each etc

Ain't that the truth!

And people are bashing Batman as if he came with a 1966 Adam West Batman head sculpt instead.
WTF.

That's our BTAS Batman. Period.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

He looks fantastic on the 1st photo batmon85!

Congrats on getting yours illproxy! :D

I bet we will see many of the BTAS Batman's as this is an easy sell for them! As long as they include good new accessories or alternative parts many people will buy it. I also think cause they are basing the figures on the episodes they wil release some of the same figures with different accessories. The Joker for sure will get another few figures with the same sculpt, they might change few things, improve the head but I'm sure we will see him again.again. They might be normal releases or limited/event exclusive.

In regards to accessories I don't think they will do it as they can include those with another figures and this way they can make more monnies. One way or another this line is doing great and they will continue making it as much as they can! As a side note - I want to see BTAS Poison Ivy already! :)

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

*dies*

:thud:

So happy for you!!

And you got a beyond well painted one!! :clap

FANTASTIC!

Congrats!

The last shot, though. :thud:

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

@batmon85 man you are complaining too much! We already know you don't like it so please stop repeating it as it start to be annoying...Let people who like the figure enjoy it :) If you don't like the figure just send it back and that's it problem solved!

*moving on*

Awesome shots guyver1 ! I love the running one ^_^ and the paint jobs looks great as well - congrats!

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Batmon85, it's the very same figure.

Only that the prototype has the mouth painted and the eyes painted wider.

It is exactly. the. same.

Now I ask you what you asked illproxy: why can't you just see it?

I rest my case!

Top: guyver1's figure. Bottom: your "beloved" prototype.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

It can not be "exactly. the. same" since the figures do look noticeable different. Honestly, compared to the proto, the head sculpt and paint looks like crap. Proto had the wider eyes which look a lot better. Proto has the well defined mouth and better choice of paint. Even the paint job on the cape/cowl is a lot better.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

The complaining about the head has been annoying for pages now. So much nitpicking over a 20 dollar figure. And comparing DCC product to those Bandai figures that cost maybe triple the price of DCC Animated Batman line is unfair to DCC's great figures as well.

Thank you!!
Enough of the nitpicking! Let's move on.

By the way, when I see your avatar, I instantly remember of my 2002 Toy Biz Norman Osborn figure from the movie. :lol
What an awesome figure. That armchair with the mask feature, though.

Ops, now someone will jump in and say the Norman figure sucks, just because. :lol

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

The head on the new Batman is somewhat off to me....I dont know how to explain it

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I'm still debating if I want to widen the eyes.. The squinted intensity is growing on me

I know this was cheesy, but I had to try
