Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I'm definitely getting those reissue TNAB and cat woman. Mine are so flimsy compared to this TAS batman. What a shame that Catwoman was released before they fixed the joint system. :slap

Personally, I'd only re-buy Catwoman if the hip holes were gone. :lecture

Mine is just fine, specially after I repainted her eyes. But sometimes I nitpick over the hip holes.

Maybe but my bats is so hard to pose it keeps toppling over even when I posed him with TAS bats it's a pain in the ass. I really think they fixed the knees with the TAS. What I want is for them to make the feet not so webby and curved sometimes the weight doesn't support the webbed heels, even on the TAS Bats. They need to restructure the plastic on the bottom of the feet and make it thicker.

Anyway on the subject

Ugh it's killing me while I'm still debating on modding

In certain light and angles I love the head as is :gah:Simple daylight seems to work the best IMO

I was watching episodes debating back and forth yesterday and the intense eyes were used a lot in the animation, but of course his eyes were very bright and stuck out always..

Ugh decisions...what to do :panic:

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

OMG. He's so beautiful under daylight/natural light. :thud:

Well, since you love both eyes shape/size. I suggest liquid paper.
You can paint it bigger, and still simply remove it with water when you want him to have the original more intense eyes.

Pretty easy to do and clean up.

White out :horror ..maybe I'll try another idea I had in mind

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I cried and died over the last shot. It's... It's just... Him. I mean... Him. Our Batman. :thud:

Crying.%20=-(.gif

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

what is liquit paper?

White out to cover over ink. I can't believe people are using this. It becomes gummy over the years, not to mention will turn yellow. :thud:

hahaha! Not really! Trust me: I fixed the damaged white parts of my Kenner Harley Quinn (I played with her a lot as a kid!!) with liquid paper, like, in 2000... And it's still quite good.
And the white is not that bright... It's quite good. Works for me.

Well I guess if you just use it lightly :monkey4

:exactly:

Like for the Batman eyes, which is a really, really small part of the figure. Should work properly!
And, as I said, you can remove it with water easily and fast, when you feel like wanting the intense eyes.

In this pic the Mod of eyes and mouth looks great too

Absolutely! I'm in love with this picture and the figure

Both the original painting and this repainting look stunning!

I think I'll simply highlight his mouth and "laugh lines" with a bit darker skin-tone ink. I'ill leave his eyes the way they're.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Mine too. It's in my pile o' loot.

I'm gonna wait for a few other preprders to become available before shipping.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I find it odd they got the Batmobile in, but still none of the new figures.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I just got my TNBA Ivy. It seems like they couldn't get the paint to go on the sculpted part of the eye properly. I remember catwoman having a similar issue.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

My bat mobile is on the way. Fells great paying only $89 for a big, great looking vehicle.
