Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

ended up making a stand for batman today in the shop. Still playing around with some ideas, but i kind of like this one. I like how subdued it is compared to the original. i think i might have to make more for the rest of the line. Thinking of something big for the batmobile

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I was re-reading "Mad Love" yesterday (to celebrate Harley's release) and noticed, for the first time, that Roxy originally first appeared on one of "Batman Adventures" comics, which has the original The Animated Series design.

So, she would look great with the BTAS figures too.

I also found out that the TNBA episode "Holiday Knighs" was originally a Batman Adventures story too, again with BTAS design.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I was at my local collectibles shop yesterday and they got in TNBA Robin and the 2nd release of TNBA Batman. Batman still had the hip holes.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Batman and Catwoman without the hip holes come out in December

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

"Shelfies" :lol I love it! :D

Here's my Animated Series shelf, as I'm sure a few have seen by now:

Very soon to have Riddler & Batgirl added :)

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Hey sfa, what shelf are you using? And what bases are you using for your figures? I have a mainstay 5 shelf bookcase and I was able to fit the batmobile inside. Thankfully it has a inch of space to play with so no worries about it scratching the edges of the car, however there is less space to put the figures around the car so I might have to use the second level for the figures.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Great job Sentry83 !! Is this something you could "mass produce" for sale? or does it requite too much work?

sfa that black background looks so good! :D

It's a Maine Extra Deep bookshelf (I'm in the UK and got it locally) and it's great for DCC figures. Looks to be about the same width as yours, as when I measured mine for the Batmobile it looks like I'll have an inch or two spare as well. I'm planning to have a separate shelf for that and for the figures.

The bases are the Protech vintage Star Wars figures style bases. They look great with the Animated figures, but the figures without peg holes are harder to keep secure on them though.

Thanks Zelu! The simple black really does help show off the figures I think :)

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Just noticed that sfa's signature photo is my ideal villian line-up, only exchanging Dr. Hugo for the Phantasm and adding the Ventriloquist. :)
I'd be pretty much done.

Yeah, I make stuff like this all the time. Well, not just like this, more boring technical tagging lol. But, I can make these pretty easily if anyone is interested.

I actually wanted to add more villains to that image, but got too busy and never got round to it in the end. Add Ventriloquist, Ras, Talia, Clock King, Red Claw, Lock Up, Maxie Zues and Phantasm and that would be a perfect figure line up for me! Any more would be icing on the cake.

Oh, and Rupert Thorne. I could happily live without him if they never made him, but if they did I'd buy him in a heartbeat! Such a great character in the series and starred in more episodes than most of the costumed villains!

I'd definitely be interested for all btas styled figures
