This new set wouldn't be as annoying as it seems in that case (aside from the cloth capes although they aren't a necessity since the figures fit in fine with the rubber capes).

The cloth capes were something I wanted since the line started, and pestered DC mutliple times about including them with the Batmobile to begin with... I much prefer cloth capes to plastic.

So seeing these in there really stinks for me.

Oh well... They may have just saved me a bunch of money (and cost themselves some). Now I won't pick up figures just to have a complete line... since I'll never have a complete line.

Sucks about the Batmobile. I mean, great that the line is so successful, but I wish they had given everyone the option of this deluxe edition at the same time.

Yup. Much like Hot Toys does with many of their "deluxe" sets... Offer both options at the same time to give people the choice on how much they wnat to put into it. Don't hook them with one version, then offer a superior one less than 12 months later.

I would LOVE a Batsignal and cloth caped Batman & Robin for an extra $40... too bad I already spent that $100 on the car though.

It's DCC, they'll release that Batsignal with another set. Either with Gordon or with Bullock and Montoya.

Well, they will probably wait until after they get Gordon and Montoya out by themselves... then do the Batsignal with Gordon, Montoya, and an exclusive Bullock. Make sure to hose those that bought them already.

Do I want it? I don't know. It's not doing itself any favors coming out this year. I really like the Batsignal, couldn't give a damn about the cloth capes, and I just don't know how to feel about the Batmobile. The chrome is "meh," and I don't really like the idea of it being a straight rehash. What might've made me reconsider is if it actually lived up to the "deluxe" name. If they gave it the wheel spikes like the Kenner version had, maybe a spring-loaded version of the little rocket that popped out of the grills on the hood.

The other thing is Toy Fair, itself. If there's a Batwing on display or something else, it's probably going to make this even less appealing. Throw in the potential for a Superman, Beyond, or JL reveal, along with more new figures for the line, and throw all of that on top of the potential Batman V Superman stuff, and this thing looks more and more like a forgotten joke.

In the plus column, though, my LCS discounts everything. I get 20% off of all my purchases, and, even moreso when they run holiday sales, so, if he orders one of these and it doesn't sell ($175 is probably higher than anything he carries), maybe, just maybe, it could cut in under the wire. This is not a good way to start out 2016, though, DCC. Especially, when I hear that Lego Batcave calling my name.

I LOVE THE NEW SET, They must of gave in with the cloth capes after they realized that the capes were a pain to get in there with the seatbelt, I only struggled with batman, but man, can't wait until august

I saw that Batmobile pack today and I gotta say I just about threw up in my mouth. I just ordered my first round of these DC Batman Animated Series figures with Batman, Robin and Joker along with the Batmobile last week. And then I saw that pack. Yeah, I may order a Two-Face figure down the road but honestly I think I'm done with DC Direct even before I started. If DC Direct is going to pull **** like that, I don't want to support them. And this was my first foray into buying their products cause I wanted that awesome Batmobile. These are superb figures. I just got the Batman figure and it rocks. But come on...
