Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

SH Figuarts stands are the only other viable alternative I could find. Careful with the smaller Hot Toys-like stands. I tried some of them and they still did not line up well with the figures. For example, the stand waist grabber was up over Catwoman's shoulders, etc.

Ah, that is to bad that the smaller stands don't work. Thank you for the heads up, appreciate it. Saved me some money. Aren't the figuarts stands expensive? I want the same style stand for each. I might just be stuck using the white ones. Or I might try to find a way to make my own.

I gave up on stands.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

How do you use them with capes?

Those figures come with the waist grabbers that don't have the long pegs sticking out at the end. I think the only one that doesn't is Batgirl, but I had a spare pegless waist grabber from a broken TNBA Batman, so I used it on her.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Nice display whako

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Yeah, whacko, I really love how you put those red and blue package-coordinating colors behind them. It's really cool to see them all together too!

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Awesome display whako! I bet they must take up a fair bit of space, but they look fantastic. :D

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Wow, great looking display! What display cases are those?
Thanks to all.
I guess they are (were) commonly known as "Beanie Baby" cases. I used to be able to go in Michaels (Think I spelled it wrong) and AC Moore and get them. The last places I found them at Ben Franklin and Hobby Lobby. Most of what you see though I just recently bought on eBay. I'll check my notes and try to get you some more details on them.

I gotta say tho, you still have to be pretty good at standing these up lol. My figures inside occasionally tip over inside the case but I'm pretty good at getting them balanced. I even got Baby Doll to stand on her own. The nice thing about the cases is it keeps the figures from taking a nosedive off the shelf and breaking.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

The included stands work fine for me. I still need to cut off the excess pegs at the back, but other than that they're perfect, IMO.

I just cut either all or most of the excess off all of my stands today. Should have done this ages ago! They're way easier to display now without having to worry about the pegs knocking down the figure behind it, or not being able to touch the wall or back of the shelf. Now making a perler bead box type riser for Harley :D
Might make a bunch of perler bead risers if I like how it comes out. I just can't figure out how you guys make those sturdy looking cardboard risers!

Nice display whako! Loving the red and blue backgrounds. It must be a pain to get those standing inside those cases with no stands!! God only knows how you got Baby Doll standing on her own! They look amazing all together! I'm still missing Mr Freeze, waiting to see if there's going to be a reissue on him. Can't stand not having him though lol

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Speaking of stands, if anyone isn't using theirs and wants to get rid of them (specifically the clear rod and waist grabber) let me know :(

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Your name next to Bane is hilarious to me for some reason. Bane: Animal Mother LOL

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Baby Doll stands surprisingly well,Bane on the other hand falls over every few days LOL!

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Made this lil riser stand for Harley. A bit bigger than I expected, but it's cool for a first try. The inside is hollow, so you can use it to store loose accessories. Or you could turn it on it's side and make a little accessories display inside. Might make a Riddler box next with the whacko toys displayed underneath. I think it's pretty cool considering I can never find any good risers

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

The problem with the white stands for me are that waist grabbers do fit tight on the pole and slide down. This an issue with about half of mine and it makes them useless. Plus, the pole/waist grabber are so close to the back of the stand, it makes the figures look a little odd to me sitting so far back. You can't really move them forward that well. Sometimes if I have them in an extreme pose, they will begin to slip out of it and fall over.

I think I am just going to make custom stands out of wood. Going to make the single figure stands base bigger than the white ones, I always felt those were to small. Going to have a pole in the back with a like a dowel rod extending forward from it to have the figure "sit" on that to give it balance and stability. The rod is going to be real small, maybe 1/8th, but it will be sturdy. Just need to measure the exact heights of each figure and see where exactly to put that rod. I tried it earlier with the clear waist grabber/pole and it seemed to work pretty good. Just have the figure "sit" on the waist grabber instead of wrapping it around them. Plus with these wood ones I have the chance to add name-tags and art of my choosing for each character to the base. Maybe even a backdrop for each. I'm not sure If I explained my idea good enough here though :lol I hope it makes sense to those reading this :lol Going to be picking up the supplies tomorrow and start tinkering with this.

Let me know If you ever feel like selling those :)

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Over the summer I bought a Styrofoam cutting kit to do stands and displays with but I haven't tried it out yet. For the BATMAN figures I want to try to do a Batcave texture for my background. I bet some of you have sites with tips on how to do that?

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I love the white stands, but I've never used the pole and the waist grabbers.

The figures stand well on their own.

The only figure that sometimes seem to fall over, depending on the pose, is Catwoman. Then, I use the pole just to prop her.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

The Batsignal's dimensions have been released:
Batsignal measures approximately 6.5” tall x 5.425” wide x 5.125” deep

It's obviously too small for accuracy, as expected, but it seems big enough. The measurements are fairly close to Mattel's TDK one. (with the base) DCC's might end up being a bit bigger.
