Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Thanks to all.
I guess they are (were) commonly known as "Beanie Baby" cases. I used to be able to go in Michaels (Think I spelled it wrong) and AC Moore and get them. The last places I found them at Ben Franklin and Hobby Lobby. Most of what you see though I just recently bought on eBay. I'll check my notes and try to get you some more details on them.

I gotta say tho, you still have to be pretty good at standing these up lol. My figures inside occasionally tip over inside the case but I'm pretty good at getting them balanced. I even got Baby Doll to stand on her own. The nice thing about the cases is it keeps the figures from taking a nosedive off the shelf and breaking.

Cool, thanks! Helps to save the shelf divers! :panic: :lol

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

The Batsignal's dimensions have been released:
Batsignal measures approximately 6.5” tall x 5.425” wide x 5.125” deep

It's obviously too small for accuracy, as expected, but it seems big enough. The measurements are fairly close to Mattel's TDK one. (with the base) DCC's might end up being a bit bigger.

Where'd you find the info for the dimensions?

I'd have to agree that it's undersized going by those dimensions. In the series it looks like it's roughly about 7-8 feet tall, so maybe it could do with being about an inch or two taller and wider to be accurate.

The base doesn't seem too bad, but the signal part looks way too small. It should be around at least 6.5 inches in diameter to be in scale since we've seen the likes of the Bullock replicant and Bane smash into it.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Just as I wanted and expected.
I think the batsignal's dimensions are just right, especially its height.

Being a bit taller (6,5") than a regular figure (6") is just right, at least for me.

If you compare its dimensions to the live-action batsignals, you'll see DCC got it right.

Here is Nolan's batsignal and Gordon side by side:

Here is the batsignal in the upcoming Batman X Superman film.
You can see it goes as tall as Affleck:

I think it would look ridiculous if it was an enormously huge (next to these figures) batsignal (like, 7", 8").

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I think it's going to be undersized by the sound of those dimensions, at least the Signal portion of it.

The light structure itself should have a circumference big enough to comfortably fit Harvey Bullock's (an obviously tall and fat character) entire body.

I think the diameter of the bat signal varied a bit in size depending on the episode, but overall the entire thing was pretty big.

They didn't though, because it's not based on the live-action Batsignals. The BTAS version is much bigger than those.
It still sounds like it'll be a great size though and will look awesome next to the DCC figures! Just gotta hope they release it separately which I'm sure they will :)

Exactly. The light portion really ought to be about 6.5 inches in diameter for it to be around the size portrayed in the show.

Just what I was thinking! You should be able to fit a figure across it. It's probably just cheapy hollow plastic, so making it 6.5 inches definitely wouldn't add much cost on DCC's part. 6.5 inches with the base is too small.

Also I see they officially raised the price on the Arkham & Designer figures :/ That's 2 lines I won't be picking anything else up from now. Really hope they keep this line at the price it's at. IMO they're already $5 too costly, but since it's TAS I don't mind as much. Imagine paying over $30 for BTAS Harley or either of the Robins LOL. If these go up I'd like to say I won't touch another, but I'll probably wait for BTAS Batgirl, Ivy and Freeze and be done with this line too, which is a shame.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Also, anyone hear anything new about the Mad Love 2 pack yet?

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Hey 305Batman, go to "Settings" at the top of this page, then under "My Settings" and "My Profile" on the left choose "Edit Signature". Then in the "Edit Signature" box in the middle of the screen copy and paste all of EXACTLY what I have typed here below:

[SIGPIC]https://i1277.photobucket.com/albums/y482/goose3387/305Batman_zpsincgixmj.png[/SIGPIC]

Then hit the "Save Signature" bar below it. You should be able to see your Croc signature the next time you make a post then.

That was helpful for me too. I've been trying to get my awesome Mad Hatter on for a while too.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Hmmm. It didn't show up on my post but it's in my settings under my sig. What did I do wrong?

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Real slick setup you got there.

Thanks!

Wow, great looking display! What display cases are those?

The dimensions of those plastic/acrylic display boxes I use are 7X4X4 (approximately) if any one was interested. They also come in many other shapes and sizes.
