Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Seeing that Deluxe Batmobile there while they're shilling their Batwing also kind of pisses me off, because they want to charge people $150 for this shiny new toy while also saying "look into the future, we did it once, who's to say we won't do it again?"

Totally agree. I feel that kind of thinking is the "minority" here. People seem very quick to defend DCC as if they have a stake in the profits LOL.
I wish companies that only have their profits in mind would act like they actually had their profits in mind. Greed blinds people from potential. Why jack up prices and sell less than half of what you could have, when you can keep the prices fair, move double the product and make more?? But they'd rather sell half the amount of product and make double the price, at our expense. Common business logic I will never understand.

But about the Superman line, I think the interest would definitely be there. If they actually sell any of those hideous Darwyn Cooke figures they could def move Superman haha

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I just put up all my TNBA loose figs up on EBay,just sticking with BTAS,while I liked the TNBA series, I LOVED BTAS!

If I was a small time dealer selling tree do I want to sell half an oz a day at a ridiculous price, making a fraction of the potential profit, or move a qp a day, at a fair price, and make double or more? Seems like a no brainer, but what do I know lol

Yeah, those Darwyn figures are kind of disappointing, especially after how good the first wave looked. So long as I get a Darwyn Cooke Jonah Hex out of it, I'm good. I agree with you completely about greed blinding potential. They need to start thinking of the long game, too. Sure, you could make a profit nickel and diming folks, but, eventually, they'll get tired of it, and then you're going to miss out on customers for stuff like Justice League, Superman, JLU, etc, which, let's face it, will probably bring in a lot more money than whatever rehash they can come up with.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I'd bet dollars to Harvey's donuts we see a "muddy" two-pack with that TDKR Batman and Mutant Leader, by the time all's said and done. I also think it's interesting how that was one of the options on their "fan choice" poll that TAS Ivy won, and we still haven't seen her yet. I just hope they do a great job with her, when they get around to her.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Awesome. It does look like we'll be getting TNBA Harley in the "Girl's Night Out" 5-pack. I'll just skip the single and get the set.

Hahaha I would have to pass on muddy versions! I think certain beloved characters like Ivy and Freeze will get saved for last, to keep interest in the line down to the last wave. But I'd guess we're going to get a single card BTAS Ivy, followed by a deluxe set Ivy with her plant from "Pretty Poison"

If they are going with "Episode specific" releases, they could drag this line on and on.

I would love that deluxe set with huge plant!

Me too! It would look so awesome next to her! I would just want it to be in the correct scale. Around 8.5 -10 inches seems about right. "The bottle for the weed"

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

So which harley face do you guys like better, the Mad Love 2 pack head, or the TNBA head?
Also, old Bruce needs knee articulation

these are the batman and robin from the deluxe mobile, right?

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

The WB Shop's instagram said the Batplane comes with figures. But no sign at the show? I was hoping for a re-release of the cloth caped Dynamic Duo...

Otherwise, I love all of these showings and will be getting them all, with a firm maybe on the 5-pack. I don't like rebuying figures, and I don't really want Livewire and Supergirl in my Batman display anyway...

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Bullock comes with 2 donuts, one of which is half eaten lol. Anyone remember Bullock ever using a shotgun? Cool that he comes with it, I just don't remember it. Also I hope that hyena cutout isn't an accurate scale, if it is they are also WAY TOO SMALL. UGH

Also I hope Gordan's knee isn't bent because he's going to come with one short leg like some of the figures so far...

Bullock uses a shotgun on the episode "A Bullet For Bullock", where he also eats donuts.
That's defenitely the episode on which they based the figure.

And the "new" Batmobile still has the weird marks all over it!
Notice on its back "ears"... There are the marks.

Man, I don't understand why Batmobiles have those marks? The old Kenner one had the marks too, as if something hit it.

But, oh, well... You just have to avoid placing under bright light, so the marks won't appear.

I noticed that too. And the same paint!! In some of the pics you can see the same scratches the old Batmobile gets from just looking at it.

That fabric cape on batman doesn't have the same look to the fabric all the way through. It looks less threaded at the sides and stands out, wtf. Looks like it's made out of one of my Grandma's table cloths

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

The photo is cut off and blurred. That's why the fabric doesn't look consistent. You can see some of Robin's hand in the other piece of the photo.
