Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Another thing to keep in mind, though is that Fletcher said that these were "on the lower end of things" during one of his interviews. A $19.99 price point, etc.; I'm not sure those could actually house all of the accessories they plan on including without looking overcrowded.

I beg to differ.... If Figuarts can do it so can DC Collectibles...

I meant that the JL:War figures were on the lower end, and that, with all of the accessories the TAS line would be better suited to the collector friendly packaging style of the Capullo figures.

Yeah I'm hoping for figuarts styled packaging guess we prob won't know til either NYCC or when we have them in hand... I'm getting them regardless of the packaging...

Latest Previews reveals Man-Bats alternate wings and the stand. :)

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Man-Bat's extra wings look great!

I don't like the stand though..... It looks quite clunky and a lot of these together could take up a lot of unnecessary space. Also, I've just never liked stands that grip figures waists - they're just so obvious. I'd have preferred the usual small, round black stands DCC use. Oh well, at least it'll work great for getting Man-Bat into a nice flying pose!

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I'm glad they went with the waist grapper... I's just like the act 4 stands so that's a plus.... The wings on Man-Bat look awesome...

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

The stands make me happy for one very specific reason: it kind of cements these as offerings meant for collectors. I'll be genuinely shocked if these wind up in non-collector friendly packaging.

Since they are going all out with new stands and loads of accessories.. I'm betting these will be in widow boxes.. Would be cool if the back has a brief discription of the Episode the figure is based on...

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Agreed. I'm digging the waist grabber stands, though. Timm's designs are very top heavy, and, with these figures being so articulated, the whole "pin in the foot" type deal might not be the best option.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Yup, especially on TNBA Batman and Two-Face with those uber thin legs and ankles.

The stands are perfect and I love Man-Bat's second pair of arms. I bet the packaging looks like the Star Wars Black Series/Game of Thrones/NECA Planet of the Apes boxes. That seems to be the "in" thing now that all these companies are using. Nice thing about them is they're completely collector friendly and easily to store.

Those boxes are perfect I hope that is the case...

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

So it seems this might be the type of box we're going to get with the animated series figures. It's different from the other lines, but not too bad. If these are the boxes, then it means you have to destroy the packaging when opening them, and I'm not sure how I feel about that...

Sorry but I must be getting old? No Batman? Did I miss something again....:lol

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I think the reason there's no Batman is because the Son of Batman film is in the same animated style as War, and they're producing a Batman for that line of figures.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

My folks came across a box of old toys today when cleaning out the garage. Mostly stuff I have no problem with passing to kids in the neighborhood. Until I came across my old Batmobile, took me 20 seconds to say 'I am keeping that'.
Too bad the hood is gone (can't remember what happened to it), but it still looks pretty sweet. It must have jogged my memory or something, first thing I did was pull on the back and voila, Batwing came out. Nostalgic value 100%, BTAS 4 life!

I must have been six or something when I got this, heh.

No problem, and, I was curious if they were similar, or if it was actually the same design, and it looks like it is:
